Xciting 250 / When to change variator rollers?
« on: April 17, 2016, 09:06:51 AM »
I have the feeling that my xciting 250 goes slower than it should .
The speedometer marks 130km/h as maximum speed I can go(almost at 8500 revs per minute) however the  gps says its 110km/h real.

I was wondering if perhaps the rollers need to be replaced? And every how many Km the should be replaced?

Hello everyone,

I have a question , in the user manual of Kymco Xciting 250 2012 specifies that the amount of gear oil should be 0,18L.
However, when I changed the oil I realized that ther's an indication on the bike saying otherwise 0,23l.This indication is right next to the drain bolt and its on the metal itself.

Why those two things are different? what should I do?

Xciting 250 / Re: Cell phone charger fuse. WHERE IS IT?
« on: April 09, 2016, 09:06:04 PM »
There's a small lid you can lift right next to the phone holder.  From there you can see the cable comming out of the charging port. If you follow that cable you'll see theres a "connection" between two white cables. Its not a conection, if you rotate one of the ends of that cable ,(is kind of circular) you'll get to see the fuse which sits inside.

Hope that helps!

Hello everyone.

I have a kymco xciting 250 2012.
When I opened the seat on my scooter I realized that the light inside doesnt work.
The lightbulb is not broken. I suspect there's no electricity passing throght since the "open seat light" or "met-in" never show's up either.

My question is , where is the sensor that allows this light to work ? How does the bike detects when the seat is open , and therefore makes the inside light work?

Thank a lot to everyone!
