Vitality 50 / Speed wobble and other issues
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:24:53 AM »
I have had the scoot for about 3 weeks now. I ride it 11 miles back and forth to work almost everyday.
I have put a little bit over 200 km on it so far. I  managed to get it up to 50mph going down hill but it began to wobble so I slowed down. Is there and way to make the wheels more stable? Balancing or the weights in the tire itself. I'm usually in pretty heavy traffic so 50 mph isn't needed all that often but still if the scoot will go that fast I'd like it stable. Also I noticed that when I am at full throttle for an extended period of time when I stop it smokes alot. I picked up a case of the amsoil synthetic 2 stroke oil and that helped alot but it still happens. Normal?

Can anyone tell me the weight of the stock rollers in a vitality 2t? i can pop it open and weigh thm but perfer not to.
Thanks in advance

Mine has a glass fuse by the battery, dont know if your does but I'd start there. Also I'd but a multi-meter on the battery to see what the voltage is.

It's cool but are we really getting so lazy that we can't even walk around the mall?

I have tire caps like that on my truck they have been there 2 years and never stolen. Mine are a lil diff tho they are green if above 36psi or so and they get clear if the pressure is low.

I have the givi flow for my vitality I think the capacity is 34 lt. With a lil squeeze I can fit my full sized laptop in its bag. I also managed to get 2 days worth of clothes, a sweatshirt, hat, 2 pairs of glasses, and a chain and lock in the under seat compartment.

I got plates and took my first ride today. It got up to 45 mph or so, I know the speedo is prob a lil off but I cant see it being more than 3-4 mph off so i'm thinking that the cdi has already been modded (I hope).  I'm going to open it up and check the bushing/washer and the rollers. what's the weight of the stock rollers  if anyone knows? I went about 11 miles from work to home. It was better than expected a lil smokey but I'll check that out when i get back to work in the morning It was sitting for at least 2 years and for the past week that it's been running it never rode for more then what was in the video in the first post. I'll have the mechanic at work help me figure out whats goin on with the somking problem.

That is 1 I don't know. maybe someone else, or try Kymco USA Tech support. ( I would call)

I emailed them and here was thier response
I apologize but we are unable to discuss this operation with anyone other than our dealer network. Please contact your authorized KYMCO USA dealer for information on this subject.

Looks like no help from them. Theres an authorized kymco guy  not far from my job may swing by there one day

I forgot to check the wire colors but do have pics. Looks like 4 wires, Black and yellow, black and red, blue and yellow, and green. I managed to get it up to almost 30 mph then i ran out of driveway. I'm guessing i shouldn't expect much more with what I have.

I have a safe place to lock it up at home and my shop is really a huge garage. It's gonna be for going back and forth to work for the summer, and just kickin around. I have a truck that i use for any driving I need to do but at 10-12 mpg its not ideal. And i figuure I've had this thing for 2 years I might as well have some fun with it.
