Super 8 xenon headlights?
« on: September 25, 2010, 03:34:32 PM »
Hi guys.  I am looking to upgrade the somewhat dim stock headlights in my new Super 8 150.  Does anyone know if the xentec bi-xenon headlight kits available on Ebay and elsewhere could be used in place of the stock headlights?  Also, does anyone know what type of bulbs the stock headlights are, and if there are any brighter direct replacements?

Thanks

..not exactly sure, but i think you scoot has a 35w-35w, dual element headlamp...

..you should stay below a 40 watt lamp when replacing...due to the heat factor...
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

I found my stock lights very good indeed on the super 8, if its second hand maybe the previous owner put cheaper or lower powered bulbs in? also make sure the alignment is correct as this will have an effect on how bright they "seem". i usually set it to aim just above a  licence plate of a car about 2/3 meters away, this way u dont blind people but u light up whats in front pretty well.

I still have stock bulbs so cant help with the idea you have, sorry.
