Here is a link to the HOCA kit. I like it because it has the fuel needle/plug as well as the air plug, but I don't know if it will fit the stock carb. Maybe I'll just have to buy one to find out.

Thanks for the replies. For those of you that converted the enrichener to a manual unit, which kits fit the stock carb? I saw one from HOCA that looks like it should fit, but I'd like to be sure before I order it.

Like 50 2T / stock carburetor replacement recommendations?

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive replacement carb with manual choke to replace the stock carb on my 2012 Like 50 2T? I'm not looking for a performance increase, just a manual choke.  Or, does anyone know of a manual choke conversion kit for this carb?

Technical | How To / Re: Never on small bolts & nuts
« on: July 05, 2016, 05:47:19 PM »
Another long-time auto tech and, more recently, community college auto tech instructor here.  I agree that using torque wrenches can be tricky. Developing a feel for bolts is hard for some people. I started my students out by having them put 6mm bolts in a vice and slowly breaking them with a ratchet. Then I would have them use a torque wrench on everything for awhile. After getting to know them individually, I would gradually wean them off the torque wrench except for two things: head bolts and lug nuts. I ALWAYS use a torque wrench on those parts. Just thought you might find my story interesting.

In looking for a cooling shroud for my 2012 Like 50 2t, I have found a shroud and other parts to fit the Minarelli JOG 1E40QMB type engines. Is this the type of engine in my Like 50, and will these parts fit?

Thanks for the replies. I live a little south of Raleigh.  I need an oil injection pump, engine cooling shroud, and air filter. Other than that, I need some body plastic parts, a turn signal lens, and brake levers. What is your opinion of getting a foam air filter pod instead of replacing the stock airbox (missing)?

Yesterday I brought home a 2012 Like 50 2t that runs ok but needs some work.
First of all, hello from sunny North Carolina!  I have enjoyed the form and learned a lot already.
Here are some of the parts I need: engine cooling shrouds, oil injection pump, brake levers, exhaust heat shield, LH upper turn signal, and a couple plastic body parts.
I need some suggestions for parts sources, as I am unfamiliar with Kymco scooters. Can you recommend any good sources for new parts? Used parts?
Thanks in advance!

Have a non-running Like 50 to sell? Let me know. Or if you want to sell individual parts, here is what I need for a 2012 Like 50 2t:
engine cooling shrouds
left handlebar turn signal
a couple of plastic body panels
oil injection pump and/or gear
muffler heat shield
