12v accessory out let and battery tender junior
« on: December 03, 2015, 05:37:50 PM »
Has anyone used the underseat outlet with a mini charger and cigarette lighter male adapter? The charger is only .5 amps.

I use it for my GPS all the time. Not intended for a cigarette lighter.

Thanks. I meant 12v male. No way for a cigarette lighter.

I believe for the tender to work the outlet has to be live when the bike is shut off. When I tested my outlet it went off when I turned the key off.

I ended up swapping out the charger plug for a LED courtesy light.  ;)

I installed a second accessory outlet on the outside of the front cover under my knees. I wired it directly into the battery and used a 10amp fuse. I use it for my GPS when riding and my battery tender when the scoot is stored. I believe the stock plug under the seat has a very low amperage fuse in it and is for phone charging while riding.
