No worries Axy... We are headed for those fuel prices. More than likely after the summer months and towards November when the US of A goes into a nasty all hands down recession.

He's in the Democratic People's Republic of Croatiastan, it's a Worker's Paradise, where they get taxed for the oxygen they consume, and the carbon dioxide they produce, and with whatever's left they can by $10 a gallon gasoline.

But the wimmin are hott, and they swim nekkid in the Danube, so they got that going for them.

I always wanted to see the Danube. Now I know where to see it from :-)

Actually, only 4 % of Danube flows through Croatia on its far east, maybe 100 kms or so. It even constitutes a part of border with Serbia.
It seems that people like to come here because 15 % of our GDP comes from tourism. :)

+1 Axy

you cant ride a 500cc and expect to go forever on one tank, if you want to do that then get a agility 125

... or stay home...

I got a scoot because it consumes less than a car...

There's a lot of cars that consume less fuel then the XC500, even some fast ones.  ;D

Virtually no hibrids here, and still most new small cars will do 50MPG easy, and some a lot more.

Check BMW's 1 series.. 60mpg in the 120mph low end diesel, and not much worse as the
power goes up.

Even Korean cars got small diesels that do 65+.
There's a small Kia Rio that'll do 73MPG, a 1.1l diesel.

My father's Audi TDI averages over 40mpg, and it's a 140hp 3600lbs car.
It can do over 50MPG doing 45-55mph in 6th.

To tell the truth, I think every manufacturer has a 50mpg+ car available here.

I often got 40MPG+ out of this thing:

It's neither small nor slow.

Diesel cars are UTTER CRAP. Always were, always will be. I would rather WALK or ride on a bus than drive that pile of sh*t.

Stop sugar-coating it and tell us how you really feel..  :)  If you've driven any if the new diesel cars they are very impressive - most are very quiet with better performance than their gasoline powered relatives.

Discontinued,  but it had a couple of 1.2 TDI (3 cyl) and 1.4 TDI (4 cyl) diesels that were all beween 50 and 70MPG.
It's replaced by VW Up!.
Same story applies.

There's even the 1.2 TSI (turbo petrol engine) that can do over 40MPG on open roads and has 105hp.
