I used to drink my share of beer in my younger days - probably not more than 50 beers in the last 30 years. Now, I’m happy with a single glass of good red wine with dinner 3-4 nights a week.

Great pictures Klav. I noticed that the ones from the Majesty ride were far more sedate than those with the Like or ADV. Almost like the pictures were mirroring the scooter’s personality. Planned or happenstance?

Some videos can be fun to watch to see scenery in a different part of the country/ different country or a specific sight. I was hoping to see still pictures of the scooter itself. The P150 is not seen around here.

I’m jealous of all the scooter options from across the pond. Congratulations on a good looking scooter.

Roadcraft / Re: Heated gloves vs heated grips
« on: April 16, 2023, 12:12:39 AM »
I have a psychological aversion to being tethered to a scooter so no wired gloves. My CanAm had heated grips as did the AK550, I’ve wired up my B400 with heated grips. The inside of the hand stays comfy but the heated grips do nothing for the back of the hand. Bob solved this problem with muffs. For me, that is the same as a wire tether. I don’t ride in anywhere near as cold temps as Bob. Therefore, if I wished to extend my riding calendar, I’d opt for a battery powered glove.

General Discussion / Re: keyless ignition bit me today

While I had my AK550, I noticed that the scooter would start with the fob in a box in my closet on the other side of the house. The car wouldn’t start without having the fob within 10 feet. Or less if the fob was on the other side of the garage wall. When I finish riding, I place the key/fob into my jacket pocket. Since I always wear a jacket when riding, my key is with me.

Now, to remember to lock and remove the trunk key prior to setting off…

An advantage of not using FB - less invasive advertisements popping up

I rarely have more than an hour to ride so am not bothered by the range. Not sure about parts availability or where one would obtain support locally.

I had an earlier model 150. Very nice scooter but mine had one niggling problem - getting the thin front tire stuck in a road crack or between concrete slabs. Those had the tendency to alter the steering. The large wheels made the ride smoother and easier crossing potholes etc.. Ride safe and enjoy!

Roadcraft / Re: Another braking thread...
« on: April 14, 2023, 06:20:56 PM »
I switch between two and four-finger braking. Typically use two-finger in in-town slower speed riding and four-finger braking in higher speed riding and whenever quick action is required for my safety. My safety course instructors let us know that it was far more important to come to a full and complete safe stop than the number of fingers you used when braking. That said, they recommended full hand braking.

@klaviator, what is your opinion of the Hyoer Tough tire inflator? That looks far easier to use than what I currently have.

Thanks
