@jasbos, this carb-equipped scoots are usually bulletproof.
TPS can be resetted (pls see forum)

You say, you do have a kickstart option, right?
Does your scoot start by kicking it on?
If YES, something prevents electricity to reach your starter motor.

Culprits (possible):
- minus cable from battery to motor corroded
- plus cable to starter motor lose
- battery terminals lose
- starter relais cables lose or corroded
- stsrter relais itself
- battery charging system faulty
- brake light switch faulty
- kill switch off/on

This fault on a onecylinder/ one coil/ one regulator scoot is to be found.
Check this things or let check. If your mechanic cannot, change mechanic.

hi thanks for the information I have checked all the battery cables all seem fine I never knew there was a kill switch on the scooter where is it if I may ask and i am struggling to find a post on resetting TPI and yes it will start on kickstart but takes a lot of trys  and sometimes will not
tks again for information

Agility 125 / carburettor tps sensor
« on: October 18, 2023, 05:19:03 PM »
hi, I think my tps sensor may be faulty bike not starting on the electric starter intermittently, it either fires straight away or the button is unresponsive  2015 Kymco Agility 125 16-wheel kicking bike after a lot of effort starting I changed the battery still has the same issue, took to my local mechanic, first thought stater button the problem(he has had kymco agilitys in with this) button fine, carb stripped and cleaned new plug fitted mechanic thought problem solved it was not, stata ok the only thing he thinks it may be is the TPS sensor has anyone had a problem with this? and had to change it or can advise me on what else to check as I said happens once or twice a month luckily close to home so could push it back but need some ideas and any help I would appreciate

the magnetic plug thing is not great so I have left it on the sym as i am getting it ready for selling, the exhausts on syms are not great i am on the second 1 but i suppose 12 years 2 exhausts is not to bad,i am selling it cheap it will make a good workhorse for someone. syms are great engines are really good,i would say they seem a bit more robust than the kymco and the storage on the sym fiddle is a lot better than the kymco, brakes are better on the kymco as the rear is a drum on my sym only the front is a disc. Parts in the UK are easy to get for both, the sym is really well supported in the UK we have a main dealer 5 miles away. The bigger wheels on the kymco make a massive differnce, in my opinion, it evens out the road a lot better but i would recommend Sym scooters as they are well built and not like the cheaper Chinese imports we get in the UK like lexmoto but even these scooters seem to be better quality as time goes on.I have also just got a new battery for the kymco as the one on it was the original and the other day i had to kick start the kymco after it had been sat for 2 days so to be on the safe side I got a new one was only £37 UK so a cheap fix

« on: February 18, 2020, 02:55:40 PM »
finally managed to get the oil changed today, cleaned filter and seal, on my other bike sym fiddle  there's a magnet in the filter to catch any metal should there be one on this kymco i have looked at the manual can not see one does anyone use a magnet, or am I just overthinking this i have the larger wheeled kymco agility 125cc, I am really enjoying the bike if it ever stops raining in manchester(UK) ill change the gear oil next, brake fluid after that and the air filter. And can I say thanks for all the advice in my previous posts it has been really helpfull
