Hey Newbiker, how did your deal on the AK550 turn out.  That was a horrible story you told.

Compagno 50i and 110i / A top box
« on: September 19, 2022, 12:12:33 PM »
Anyone have success mounting a top box of any kind on the back of Compagno?  Maybe a front rack like the one for the Vespa?  I'm buying this as a grocery getter.

Compagno 50i and 110i / Looking to buy 110i

I'm here in North Florida and I'm very concerned about the availability of replacement parts.  I purchased a used Agility 125 from Solano Cycle years ago and they took very good care of me and my needs at the time.  The fact that one of you couldn't even get a spare key from Solano Cycle kind of scares me.  With my Honda's, Suzuki's, and even a Vespa I once had, never really had problems getting parts for them.  I guess my question is, are parts hard to get for the Kymco scooter line?  Thanks  Tom

Super 8 150 / Re: Back to Kymco
« on: June 01, 2021, 04:01:24 PM »
Thanks KK.  After looking at other post about parts I found kymcoonline.com.  They seem to have all the parts listed with prices.  I hope that means that they are available.  I will be sure to complain if they are not.

Super 8 150 / Re: Left brake lever

Thanks Iahawk. I guess since it operates the hydraulic brake they bundle it with that part instead of the handlebar stuff. Kymco has a different way of doing things.

So Iahawk you were right the left one is there but I don't find the right one.  The one I'm looking for.

I may have answered one of my own questions. I found Solano Cycles parts for Kymco.  Looking up something as simple as the air filter/air cleaner the part is shown but no price.  Now on a Honda web site if there isn't a price the part is NLA.  Anyone know what gives?  Same for front brake lever.  Two parts I know I will need.  Thanks again, Tom

Super 8 150 / Back to Kymco
« on: May 31, 2021, 12:30:17 PM »
Hello all. I joined this site in 2010 when my wife and I got Agility 125s. Those were really great scooters. After that we got a pair of Honda Refexes and would ride those all the way to North Carolina and back. Now we do the same on Honda Silverwings. I want something smaller to kick around the neighborhood and short trips to the store. I checked out a really nice 09 Super 8 150 yesterday and have just two question, I think. Does the odometer read in MPH and are body parts readily available? Looking forward to getting back in to this group. Thanks.  Tom

LIKE 200i / Re: MPH or KPH
« on: December 19, 2020, 02:34:43 PM »
Thanks guys. That is what I thought. This thing only has 3160 miles on it and that's nothing for a Kymco. My wife and I both had Agility 125 with no problems for two years and about 8000 miles. Great scooters. We both currently have SilverWings but I want something to kick around the neighborhood on. Anything I should look for in a 2015 Like 200i. I've read some of the post here under the 200i. Looks like Major Tom has a lot of answers. Thanks Major.

LIKE 200i / MPH or KPH

Does the speedo for a 2015 200i read in MPH or KPH?  It looks like it's MPH but the owner says it's KPH.  The odometer reads 3160. He states that it is KPH and therefore only has 1963 miles on it. I'm pretty sure he is wrong because at the bottom of the speedo it reads MPH in big letters.

Super 8 150 / 2012 CDI
« on: May 30, 2018, 05:47:41 PM »
I haven't been here in a while but I would like to join back in with the purchase of a used 2012 Super 8 150. Both the units I have looked at have had the CDI replaced. Was this/Is this a known problem with the 2012 CDI or is it all years? I had a 07 Agility 125 that was one great scooter. The only problem I ever had with it was the CDI went out at about 4000 miles (not kilometors). It was fixed under warranty and I never gave it a second thought. It lasted about another year and 2000 miles before I sold that scooter. It was running great. My girlfriends 07 Agility 125 ran perfect for the 2 and a half years she rode it and put 8500 miles on it. Just hoping to get the same kind of service out of one of these 150S. What do you all think?  Thanks Tom     aka docjones

Kymco News / Re: The New Spade

Thanks Al for filling me in on the Wolf. My wife and I love our little Kymco 125 scooters and we know first hand all about the quality of the product. My wife is a little bitty thing so to put her on a Wolf or even a Grom was a stretch. The 28 inch seat height on the Spade will be perfect.

Thanks guys for filling me in on the new spade. Hey AMAC1680, I see we both live in Jacksonville Fl. I first saw that red and white sign on your wall with reference to Jacksonville Beach and then checked your name. Looking forward to going down to Salono Cycle and checking out the new Spade. Hope to see you around. Oh yeah, did you ever consider the SYN Wolf?   Tom

Kymco News / The New Spade

Anyone know any more about this little Motorcycle. Who builds it and in what country? I only ask because it isn't shown on the Kymco (for the rest of the world) web site. I see it on the USA site but not the other. I just want to make sure it is a good quality bike before I put my hard earned money down. It sure does seem to beat the heck out of a Grom. Honda makes a great product but so does Kymco and Kymco doesn't charge us out the rear for it. I haven't been to my local dealer yet but are they on the showroom floors ?

Grandvista 250 / Re: A new purchase
« on: September 24, 2014, 08:14:08 PM »
Thanks you two. I did a quick check out on the unit. No battery in it so I couldn't check out the electrical system. Will do that on Saturday. Owner claims 1600 miles. Front tire looks brand new except it is probably the original. Now here is the clincher. Rear tire is bald as it can be. Cords even showing thur. No way this bike has only 1600 miles on it unless the guy did burn outs holding the front brake or towed it across the country with just the rear tire on the ground. I can't wait to hear his explanation, I'll let you know. Thanks in advance.    Tom
