Compagno 50i and 110i / A top box
« on: September 19, 2022, 12:12:33 PM »
Anyone have success mounting a top box of any kind on the back of Compagno?  Maybe a front rack like the one for the Vespa?  I'm buying this as a grocery getter.

Compagno 50i and 110i / Looking to buy 110i
« on: September 16, 2022, 02:24:02 PM »
I'm here in North Florida and I'm very concerned about the availability of replacement parts.  I purchased a used Agility 125 from Solano Cycle years ago and they took very good care of me and my needs at the time.  The fact that one of you couldn't even get a spare key from Solano Cycle kind of scares me.  With my Honda's, Suzuki's, and even a Vespa I once had, never really had problems getting parts for them.  I guess my question is, are parts hard to get for the Kymco scooter line?  Thanks  Tom

Super 8 150 / Back to Kymco
« on: May 31, 2021, 12:30:17 PM »
Hello all. I joined this site in 2010 when my wife and I got Agility 125s. Those were really great scooters. After that we got a pair of Honda Refexes and would ride those all the way to North Carolina and back. Now we do the same on Honda Silverwings. I want something smaller to kick around the neighborhood and short trips to the store. I checked out a really nice 09 Super 8 150 yesterday and have just two question, I think. Does the odometer read in MPH and are body parts readily available? Looking forward to getting back in to this group. Thanks.  Tom

LIKE 200i / MPH or KPH
« on: December 17, 2020, 04:36:37 PM »
Does the speedo for a 2015 200i read in MPH or KPH?  It looks like it's MPH but the owner says it's KPH.  The odometer reads 3160. He states that it is KPH and therefore only has 1963 miles on it. I'm pretty sure he is wrong because at the bottom of the speedo it reads MPH in big letters.

Super 8 150 / 2012 CDI
« on: May 30, 2018, 05:47:41 PM »
I haven't been here in a while but I would like to join back in with the purchase of a used 2012 Super 8 150. Both the units I have looked at have had the CDI replaced. Was this/Is this a known problem with the 2012 CDI or is it all years? I had a 07 Agility 125 that was one great scooter. The only problem I ever had with it was the CDI went out at about 4000 miles (not kilometors). It was fixed under warranty and I never gave it a second thought. It lasted about another year and 2000 miles before I sold that scooter. It was running great. My girlfriends 07 Agility 125 ran perfect for the 2 and a half years she rode it and put 8500 miles on it. Just hoping to get the same kind of service out of one of these 150S. What do you all think?  Thanks Tom     aka docjones

Kymco News / The New Spade
« on: September 18, 2017, 06:39:23 PM »
Anyone know any more about this little Motorcycle. Who builds it and in what country? I only ask because it isn't shown on the Kymco (for the rest of the world) web site. I see it on the USA site but not the other. I just want to make sure it is a good quality bike before I put my hard earned money down. It sure does seem to beat the heck out of a Grom. Honda makes a great product but so does Kymco and Kymco doesn't charge us out the rear for it. I haven't been to my local dealer yet but are they on the showroom floors ?

Grandvista 250 / A new purchase
« on: September 24, 2014, 01:55:30 PM »
I'm about to buy an 09 Grand Vista. Any known problems I should be looking for? Are parts still available at my local dealer? I know from past experience that Kymco makes a great scoot, just wondering about this one model.

Bet & Win 250 / 05 Known Problems
« on: January 08, 2013, 08:39:06 PM »
Before I drive 300 miles to spend $250.00 on this 05 does anyone know of typical problems? I spoke with the owner and he said it just kinda stopped running one day and he doesn't have a clue. My Agility 125 did the same thing to me one time and it was the CDI that the dealer replaced under warranty. This unit has 14,000 miles on it. Any thoughts? Anyone?

Grandvista 250 / Hey Urbestfriend
« on: November 22, 2011, 08:17:05 PM »
You mentioned you had that touring seat for your Grandvista. Does it make for a shorter seat height? Does it allow you to sit further back in the saddle? In other words give you more legroom when you put your feet up in the touring position.

General Discussion / Trying to find out
« on: November 16, 2011, 07:06:32 PM »
What model this is on craigslist?  Owner claims it is a 150cc 2002. It has a red and white seat. Most of the body peices are red. Has what look like side by side projector beam head lights. If you want to take a look craigslist in Jacksonville Fl.. It is listed as a 150cc moped. It is great price $120.00 and might be fun to tinker on over the winter if parts are still available.

Xciting 250 / Bad instraments
« on: November 11, 2011, 04:32:09 PM »
I read some stories on here about bad instraments. i.e. speedo/tack Are they really that prone to not working correctly or not at all. Are the newer ones any better than the old ones? Is Kymco taking care of these problems, maybe even after warranty is up?

Xciting 250 / Just got to have one
« on: October 25, 2011, 08:19:43 PM »
May of 2010 me and my GF got a pair of Agility 125s. We went everywhere on them and rode them all winter long in North Florida. Over 8000 miles in that first year. At that point we knew we were hooked and needed bigger scoots. I was lucky enough to find a 03 Honda Reflex for $700.00. Yea it needed some work but now it runs great after putting very little $$$ into it but lots of man hours. My GF rides it mostly because she is tiny and she can almost flat foot the thing. Now it's my turn. I was really leaning towards the Downtown 300i until I tried to sit on it. I'm only 5'7" with a 30 inch inseam and I was really crampped. I could never ride that thing for more than an hour or so without being misrable. Then I got on the Xciting. It fits perfect, just like the Reflex, just a little higher seat. Now if I can just get my dealer to come down another $500.00 I'll be flying around just like the rest of you happy campers. I have seen a new 09 in Virgina and was quoted $3262.00 out the door. That is more than $2300.00 less than a DW300i. For $2300.00 I'll suffer the loss of that xtra 10 or so hp. Wish me luck.

Xciting 250 / Can someone tell me
« on: September 16, 2011, 11:29:02 PM »
does the fork tube on the Xciting 250 attach at two points or just one like on most scooters. I was suprised that on my Agility and my Honda Reflex that they only had the bottom half of a triple tree so the attachment points were only at the bottom. I'm thinking of buying a Xciting 250 RI and was hoping it had the complete triple tree top and bottom. Maybe another reason it weights so much more than most 250s.

Agility 125 / Dead Battery, Maybe
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:34:48 PM »
My battery appears to be dead, dead, dead. I wasn't even able to kick start it. Should I be able to kick start it? If the battery is dead does that mean the auto-chock won't work either? If I was to jump it from another scooter would everything work like it should until I shut it down again?

Agility 125 / Who has the most Kilometers (miles)
« on: August 11, 2011, 01:03:48 AM »
I've got 13000 kilometers (8077 miles) with only one problem. My CDI died at around 6500 kilometers. Mines an 09 with the original belt and battery. Starts with the first push of the button unless it is really cold, say under 35 fairinheight. (i know spelling) I always change my oil every 1500 kilometers with full synthtic.
