Post by: Franke78 on July 01, 2017, 07:01:27 PM
Hi! Just bought a zymco super fever zx 50 -00. Is it possible to just fix the wires for the cdi to make it go faster? Is there any downsides to this?

KYMCO made engines and scooters for Honda before selling scooters under its own name. That included the Dio which has the AF/18 engine which is the bases of which most of KYMCO's 50cc 2t are based off. It was never sold in the states but the '90's Honda Elite 50 had a heavily restricted version of the engine called the AF/16. http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/Dio/Dio.html (http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/Dio/Dio.html)
The Dio and the ZX uses a lot of the same engine/CVT parts including the CDI
