Looking for opinions on People 250S VS Grand Vista 250
« on: September 06, 2022, 09:19:20 PM »
Hello Kymco fans!  I'm looking for input from anyone who can compare the quality of a People 250S to that of a Grand Vista. I tore into a GV a couple of years ago that had 34,000 miles on it. I was impressed with the quality of parts.  Both sets of pullies showed very little wear.  Valves were spot on, owner thinking they had never been checked.  I am looking for 200 to 300cc scooter.  There is a 2007 250S w/ 3,200 miles near me.  Can I assume this scooter is the same quality as the Grand Vista?  Any long term owners of a 250S out there that would like to share their thoughts on the scooter?  Thank you in Advance!

Same adult owner last 7 years.  3,200 miles on the bike.  His commute changed, so no longer rides the scooter.  Full service at  Kymco dealer in early June.  I'm looking to downsize from a Burgman 400, but would still like to hop on the freeway for an exit or 3 if needed.  The Grand Vista I worked on had, 34,000 miles and inside, looked like a bike with 3,000 miles.  i was impressed.

@Abner_Bjorn,
having a Grand Dink aka Grand Vista in asian and european markets, I have to say its a very reliable and comfortable ride.
Two up for longer trips, at decent speed, is possible and convenient.
My wife loves the higher seat position and side handles to relax.
The Bet&Win two valve liquid cooled motor is quiet and without any remarkable flaws. (mine has 39.000 kms on the clock).
The only things I had to repair, were:
- a faulty wire harness above the airfilter, caused by a chafing part
- carburator was changed against an aftermarket product, easy to do and inexpensive
- changed the headlight unit because it was yellowish.
Mirrors were to low down for me, so I put mirrors on my screen.
All in all an cheap and enjoyable ride.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
