Front Engine Panel Removal
« on: August 10, 2023, 03:36:56 AM »
There's a bit of mixed info going about and the manual is pretty useless...but I really needed to swap my spark plug so I persevered. As mentioned in an old thread you just need to remove the seat and seat bucket. From there the front panel (between your legs) is held in by a series of flat hooks that engage with the side panels and floor panel.
You don't need to remove side panels or floor panels etc.
Carefully work from top to bottom, squeezing the center panel inwards and disengaging stubborn ones with a flat head screwdriver.
Once that is out you have ready access to the cylinder head...and this would've been handy when I did the sidestand cutout thing.
Hope this helps  8)
