Yep just returned from our UP ride and things went well. My 450i was the smallest machine there by a large amount. Most of the other riders had RZR 800 and higher with long travel suspensions and a truck full of mods. Did go on one ride with them but then wife and I went on our own rides. Those guys ride fast and hard, way to hard for our enjoyment.  On the one ride we went on it was at night, we had a local guide lead the way and while it was fun it was also insane.....traveling thru a strange woods at 30 mph plus not knowing what was around the other corner???  Not for us, however the machine held up fine, no issues, she had a real workout!!

How many miles did you put on it?

Yeah thanks, I just went with the same brand SunF and got the All Terrain for 245 out the door.  Bought a tire changer from harbor freight so looking to do it myself.  Haven't done it yet but I feel confident lol.

Nice looking Tires.
Who did you get the tires from?

All my small engines get non ethanol and the place I get it either has 87, 89 or 92 but only one octane at a time, so mine will get all three.  :)

I remember reading somewhere here that the owner had removed the sway bar to get some additional height by moving the shocks and I believe that the only problem was high speed handling. Similar to what Airshot said.

So how many miles for break-in, I have over 600 miles and the shifting still sucks.

Two things I don't like about the 450i are the turning radius and the shifter. Make that 3, it's too damn loud, hard to hold a conversation.

I'm not sure what type of battery. I know it's 310 cca. I'll look at the battery as soon as I have a chance

Did you forget?  :)

Thanks I replaced it with a gel cell battery. It turns over a lot better and runs great now

What battery did you buy? CCA?

Thanks Kickstart, yes that area does collect stuff. After riding in mud/gravel mix and found it packed inside that small separation between frame and fender I knew I had to come up with something. I didn't believe the amount of junk packed into that area until I tried to clean it all out. I spent hours getting it all out. Nice part is now..nothing.. gets in there, much easier to clean machine.

That is definitely on my to do list.

Nice job airshot. I noticed that section collects a lot of junk even if your not in the mud.

Looks good K9bitten, more choices. Does your screen name have anything to do with Bigdog's?

Unfortunately not any non ethanol gas in Maine.

Check at any Marina, most have it because the ethanol likes to absorb water and causes a lot of problems for marine engines. A bit pricey but cheaper in the long run, for my $$$.

Where did you get your service manual?  I use the cyclepedia online manual, they are supposed to have a hard copy coming out before long. Just curious where you got yours...
Oh yea....welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your machine as well as the rest of us like ours.

Thanks
