Well just what the subject says! I traded in my Grandvista and got the red xc500!! 

It sits high! I was very surprised! (and had a little white knuckle thing going on from sitting so high) I actually felt like I was sitting in my truck ha ha ha

Butttttt  the ride is soooooo niceeeeee   I can't believe the differance in comfort between the GV and XC ! and highway driving is now fun and a lot less bumpy!  I feel a lot more comfy on the cornering too!

I made a good choice!

I got 2500 for my 2007 GV and paid 4390 final cost.  Yeah that maybe high, but the shop is good to me and the people seem to care and be nice to yeah which counts (plus there service department knows there sht!)

congrats! Also had a GV before and it can not compare with the handling and comfort of the xciting! That sounds like a bargain! Here it cost php 320k or $6,950.

I also upgraded from my Grand Dink (Grand Vista) 250.
The only thing I am missing now is the flat floorboard.

The one thing I miss from the GV is the underseat storage, but that is allll 

at this time not even sure I want a higher windsheild,  xc seems to be fairly aerodynamic, but have to ride it more to know

I reallllyyyyy want to find a way to put hard side cases on it (that I like that is lol)

Yes, congrats, griffon!  Agree with everything you said about it.  How do you like the acceleration???

You made a good choice. Ride the wheels off, the more you ride the more you will like it.  After it's broke in, try some Dr Pulley 28 gram sliders in the variator, then you will fall in love with it all over again.  Givi makes a nice tall windshield that fits the X500.  That will keep the bugs out of your teeth and rain out of your face.

So far so good! I have ridden 130 miles so far and loved it! first tank of gas and I appear to be getting almost 49 miles to the gallon ^_^ not bad for the first tank!!

I do not think I will be doing any internal mods to it as I am happy with everything it does as of now, like I said in another post, I would like more storage, just not sure what I am going to do yet as it all changes the looks of the bike, and right now I like looking at it just as is 

someday I want to do a long trip on it.... just have to get more comfortable with riding it first.

Congrat's. Your MPG & power will both go up after the break in. I'm over 12,000 now & the bike seem's to be getting smoother and more powerfull as the miles go by.

Congradulations, I also have new 500 and have put about 2000 mile on it. You find that it has plenty of get and go. I am sure you will ove it as much as I love mine.
