NSS300 FORZA & BURGMAN 400 vs KYMCO
« on: December 07, 2017, 10:48:20 PM »
The $6100 FORZA 300ABS could be in some danger by the new $3999 Kymco 300ABS - though some (me) would say the Honda wins on styling and color.

And the whopping $8100 Burgman 400ABS could be in serious peril with the introduction of the new $5999 Kymco 400ABS - especially if the Kymco proves to be even remotely as durable as the Burgman --- while also being easier for a DIY owner to do the major servicing!

Add the newly ABS'ed all-new LIKE > and KYMCO seems to be looking pretty darn good in N.America next year!

Dealer support and parts availability will be important as well - but for some, not a total deal breaker if they prove to be solid scooters in their own rights.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Good analysis. I think the Kymcos will be quite well designed and assembled and should be winners. However, I would not expect much different in dealers.

The price differential is extremely impressive, however, the lack of dealer and kymco support for their customers is a huge factor, and there are many who would pay the extra bucks to get good support.
I wish Kymco well and hope they do good with approach. If they could build a solid dealer network with factory trained techs and plenty of parts, here in the U.S., then they would be a top seller.

The support issue can be a big factor. I really am interested in the Kymco 400i. If it is of Kymco quality, then I see the price as a deal. With regards to the XTown 300, I haven't seen one glowing review. There are a few good choices in that range this year. Between the BV350, XMAX 300 or the Forza, a lot of information would need to be researched.

Well guys and girls. I went to the progressive international motorcycle show in NYC, last Sunday. Just as I suspected, NO Kymco reps or any Kymco offerings. Honestly, it is mostly all motorcycles but they did have a few scooters. I only snapped a couple pictures.
Suzuki, was only dealer, to display their full lineup.
Burgman 650.. $11,100 Burgman 400.. $$8,100 and the Burgman 200... $5,100
Maybe if Kymco, went to these events, their scooters would be more popular, here in the states
