Hi guys,

At what stage would you say to replace the actual disc on my rear wheel? Brake pads wore thin and I didn't realize til I heard the dreaded scrape/friction noise.

People GT 300i / Oil Light Reset

Hello guys, I'm having trouble resetting the oil change light. Ususally I will press the ADJ button twice until I see the 5000k on the odometer then I will press the ADJ and MODE button together. I guess it's she's had her years of service on those buttons and they don't want to work anymore. Is there any other way that I can reset this function?

People GT 300i / Voltage Issue

Hey guys. Where would you check for voltage issues? Brake lights are dim, headlight is fine, engine wouldnt crank over or even turn. Not enough amperage. I have tried two brand new batteries and still the same issue. Connections look good, ground and positive. Let me give you a little history on what happened recently: I was riding through town, stopped in a store for 10 mins, jumped back on bike and wouldnt crank. Immediately thought dead battery. Removed the battery and it was too hot to touch. Battery was puffed and expanded so I thought the voltage regulator needed replacing, which I gladly did. Purchased new battery, and she still wouldnt crank over. (Actually she started once when i installed the 1st new batt), the she wont roll again. Brake light is dim, headlight is fine, indicators are weak, pull the brake lever to hit the starter and the entire dash lights up with all indicators and accessories illuminated on the display. The only other thing I can think of is the little circular starter relay that the positive wire and negative wire attach to before going to the starter motor. What are your thoughts?

People GT 300i / Fuel Injector Types

Hello hope all is staying well and safe. I have a question. I purchased a new injector for my GTI 300 and I received something totally different from my old one. The older one has a larger neck with 4 holes and the new injector has a smaller neck which fits into the manifold with many more holes. Does the ABS version of the GTI 300 have a different injector?

People GT 300i / Tech Pulley Flying Rollers II Review

Went with the Tech Pulley sliders. Seem to be very smooth and powerband. Top speed has stayed the same and midrange torque has increased. Take off alot smoother. 14gr
Day two so far. No complaints.
Check the pic where 2 of my Dr Pulleys had shifted which affected my takeoff. These tech pulleys are great so far with an anti-roll over flaps like wings.

People GT 300i / Info on Performance and low end

Good Day and Happy New Yr. to all.

I've been working on a friends GTI300 for a few hours. His bike don't seem to have the low end "giddy up" and go. Not as zippy as my GTI anyway. He's had the bike for 7 years now. We have changed the rollers, belt, and scuffed the back pads a little (all new OEM stuff) and the low end still seems to lag. Top end is fine at 145 km/hr speed. Just takes a good stretch of real estate to achieve that.
My only other thought to this is that the variator is old and worn and probably needs replacing. Perhaps the angle of the variator is now different due to excessive hours and usage which in turn affects performance? There seems to be a little belt slippage in the low to mid range as well. What are your thoughts? Oh......before i forget, I have not changed the rear torque spring either.

Do you guys clean off the O2 sensor leading to the exhaust header pipe? If so how do you clean the carbon off if any?

Anyone have aftermarket suspension for their GTI? Looking to change to something a little more stiff and attractive.
I know that malossi have something but way too much $$ for what I'm looking for.
