Scooters - 125 to 300 => Grandvista 250 => Topic started by: Kansas kymco on November 18, 2019, 04:10:27 PM

Looking at a used 2006 Grandvista that has 11,000 miles on it. Looking for a cheap scooter for guests to ride at the campground so hardly any miles will be put on it. The scooter runs fine but does need a battery. Is 11,000 miles to many? Or am I buying a can of worms that will need lots of maintenance?

Speaking from ownership of a 2006 People 250, the scoot is solid and I would have no issue purchasing one that shows signs of good ownership.

There's at least one GV250 on this Forum with over 100K miles on it! Mine has 17K miles and it starts instantly, runs like new, everything works perfectly. If it checks out mechanically and the price is right...buy it! My only gripe was the lumbar support but it's easily removed so I can now move back a little on the saddle, a common gripe and fix.

Thanks, just curious is the speedometer in kph or mph and the same for the odometer?

Mine is a 2008 model and the display is 100% digital with either mph or kph via the rubber "mode" and "adjustment" buttons on the bottom of the instrument panel. Owner's manual is available on line.

Thanks for the replies. The Grandvista is 9 hrs away so that's why I was asking about it. It hasn't been rode in a year so I see a carb cleaning, fluid change in it's future. The owner said it ran well when he parked it in his garage.

It's a moot point now anyway , another person offered him $200. more then I so will not be purchasing. Unless the other person is a no show.

It's worth $200 to me for parts!

I offered $700. another person paid asking price of $900. You win some you lose some.
