« Last post by Iahawk on Today at 12:39:26 PM »Yes, what Karl said…I used a 24” piece of flat stock and cut a 7” piece off, leaving a 17” and 7” piece. Drill 3 holes, 2 in the short pice and 1 in the long, add a few bolts and you have a solid tool.

Some on here have done that.That's what I did! Can't find the picture but nohing more than two stout flat bars about two feet long, both with a hole at each end. I used M6 bolts and nuts, three of each. One for a pivot at one end, one each at the other. No nuts on the two for the variator (front), nuts on the two so you can stick the heads in the clutch drum.
You don't have to hold this thing! The ends joined by at one bolt just rests on the floor. The "stout bar" dimensions are about 1/4" x 3/4" mild steel, cold rolled better but hot rolled just as well.
