General Discussion / Re: What is happening?
« on: November 24, 2013, 04:32:45 AM »
I suppose it never occurs to God people that these things occurred long before sin, civilization, or this modern God was thought up. And that God has been used to explain the explainable, but now we can explain things ourselves.

In the universe these things and far more violent occur on planets completely uninhabited. The sun is engulfed in flames. Is someone going to claim life was once there but God got angry and burned the planet up? It sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

Why would God punish the innocent for the sins of politicians and their neighbors? It's stupid :/

you shouldn't be allowed to be so obese and stay on as a cop. desk duty, if that. why is it weight requirements must be met to get hired on as a police officer, but once on duty you can go all to crap?

my favorite mod would be storage, comfort, or tech solutions like a mounted GPS or something. or something cosmetic / aesthetic like mirrors, lights, etc. might even get some functionality out of some things meant for style

i would not get new tires, myself. i'd live with the ones on the scooter until worn. i would not change to sliders or get a different muffler or touch anything mechanically. not that i would not consider it, i'd just consider it after i got some good use out of  the stock stuff

i like your scooter

as for my own Agility 125 three years nearly 20,000 miles, all good, no issues. do the practical maintenance, ride, enjoy. i am sure it will all go to crap one day or need an unexpected, expensive repair. but that day has not come yet

very happy with this scooter and its toughness. just posting that for those unfamiliar and looking for info

General Discussion / Re: How many miles on your Kymco scooter ?
« on: September 15, 2013, 08:40:25 AM »
over 17,000 on Agility 125, '09

no issues at all, routine maintenance which is simple, easy, and even cheap if you DIY or have a guy around who knows scooters. order some parts and tune it up, replace belt, check valves....i did my own brakes for the first time with the help of this fine forum

thanks Vivo, and everyone who helped me  ;D

its been a good scooter. i have replaced small things along the way like the fuse and the headlight bulb and one turn signal bulb. it has its second battery in, and the air filter is new. i changed the cdi, too. just because i could and thought it preventive maintenance. i will bleed the brakes or have it done next time the brakes need work

its not really seen a shop much. for tires and a front rotor. its been a low maintenance scooter, really. still runs well with the 17,XXX miles on it. near 18,000, now

General Discussion / Re: Why so many '09 'new' scooters for sale?
« on: September 13, 2013, 12:06:41 AM »
what about the rubber pieces like hoses and tires and what not? don't these degrade somewhat with age no matter the usage? so get a '09 "leftover" and the tires are what, four or five years old already? hmm? and other pieces sitting around "dry." like the fuel lines. this is a-ok?

General Discussion / Re: What's your happy speed?
« on: September 10, 2013, 09:27:50 AM »
50-55mph when traffic is clear

in moving traffic 35-45mph will get me through most street traffic lane splitting (CA rider)

below that is just fine, too

its all happy tbh as long as i'm riding and not stuck in traffic. and i am never stuck in traffic when riding  ;D

100% urban rider, here. so i am happy at any speed as long as i can ride in between, around, through, and clear of cars, trucks, buses and other things in my way

Agility 125 / Re: Engine Noise with youtube exampele to hear
« on: September 07, 2013, 08:52:42 PM »
this is most likely not the best forum to ask in. ask in  "General Discussion"  and get more replies. and search other forums, or sign up and ask. because this isn't the busiest or most helpful board around. its a very small community it would seem

the Agility is not unlike most scooters in design and components so a busier board or a bit of online research might be of help. sure the problem isn't unique to a Kymco

i couldn't tell you anything, sorry. not familiar with that at all. i hear what you hear but don't know wtf it is? good luck, maybe someone will come along who can help lead you in the right direction concerning the problem itself

Agility 125 / Re: Maintenance Schedule

yes learn to change both engine and gear oil. it is literally so simple a monkey could be trained to do it. if you can turn a bolt one way and then the other and know how to pour stuff from a bottle its a done deal

i can only tell you i did NOTHING to my scooter for 11,000 MILES except change the tires, oils, brakes, and clean the air filter. thats it

then i checked the valves and they required minor adjustment. i changed the spark plug because i could, and charged the battery. i had the belt and rollers changed and the clutch  / CVT "cleaned." i swapped the ignition coil and fuse and cdi just because i could. and the fuel filter for the same reason, as well as the air filter. i bled the brakes. i have rode for over 6,000 more miles without doing anything more but what i did during the first 11,000 miles

i am not saying neglect your scooter. but this is my experience as well as others. i ride hard and all year round

you results may vary
