Tire recommendation for Agility 125
« on: July 07, 2011, 04:54:22 PM »
The used 2007 Agility I purchased a few months ago had approximately 16,000 km on it. It had the OE front tire, and a replacement Pirelli Diablo Scooter tire in the rear. I didn't like either, for many reasons ... and they didn't match, either visually or in handling characteristics.

I purchased a matched set of Pirelli SL26 tires, at the standard size: 120/70-12 in the front and 130/70-12 for the rear. The load range is 51 for the front and 56 for the rear (I did not want a 62 load range for the rear).  The scooter and me together (approx 385 lbs.) are well within the load limits for a 56/51 set.

The scooter has a much better ride and handles much better. They stick well also.

Best,
Ed

I can't find time to write a review.. but I've put Michelin City Grips on mine and
was shocked with the transformation, especially the change in comfort.

I considered the City Grips. But the only rear I could find has a 62 load range, and I did not want this. Not everyone agrees, but I think 62 "reinforced" rear tire would ride harder than a 56 non-reinforced. I agree that the City Grips are nice, though.

I was very happy with Gold Standards (which the City Grips replace) on some older bigger scooters
I rode so it was a rather safe 'blind' buy.

However, they seem to like lower pressures then the tires I had before.

These caught my eye

Have 7,700 miles and now the CST original rear needs replacing. Leaning towards a new City Grip. Any other great all around tires I should consider?
