Technical | How To / Re: Carb size increase?
« on: July 03, 2013, 09:08:01 PM »
If you add a larger carb you will need to open up the Airbox ( drill holes ) to let it breathe better and get full use of the larger capacity fuel charge being brought into the motor from a larger carb....but its all for not..... unless you open up the exhaust as well to let the motor breathe better, which would require a free flowing exhaust...aka new pipe....then it will rock !

Technical | How To / Re: when to do first oil & gear oil change
« on: July 03, 2013, 09:01:01 PM »
I would strongly suggest you stick to the Factory guidelines, after all who knows your Kymco better than the guys who built it !
Changing your oil before the recomended interval may result in metal particles being left behind....yikes !
Its the heating and cooling of the engine during the breakin period that unsticks the metal shavings left behind from machining process, however once suspended they can be easily be removed by draining the oil at the recomended interval.....now carry on and enjoy the ride !

From what country are you from?  Our gasoline here all have 10% ethanol... it's the law...
Hello...I am located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
This link should help most people interested in this topic, its a list of Ethanol free stations both sides of the border as well as some interesting info.....for example no Ethanol in Alaska...hummm....most likely due to the cold start issues related to ethanol

Yager GT 200i / Re: how do you unlock seat with battery removed?
« on: November 08, 2012, 07:09:29 PM »
You are correct, the seat is cable operated not electrical....tear away !
Dont forget to keep the battery on a battery tender/minder to keep it charged up in the off-season.

Well gotta weigh in on this one, here is my spin on it,Premium fuel has no Ethanol and since scooters and small cc machines carry only small amount of fuel....I say go for the good stuff, here is why,I see lots of problems caused by Ethanol fuels, they are corrosive and go stale very quickly resulting in lots of "no starts" after sitting for a short period of time and damaged carb parts where fuel has been allowed to sit for several months. The small additional costs of the better quality fuel far out weigh the costs of service/repairs incurred with its use.
Enjoy the Ride !
