Hi

Why do you not use the AC CDI of the 139 qmb instead of the DC CDI of the Agility ?

Agility 50 / Kymco Agility 50 modified wiring for avoid problems
« on: October 01, 2014, 08:48:15 AM »
Hello

If you want to avoid breakdowns and problems caused by switches, you can change the wiring
I'll start posting for light switches and then I'll post for the other switches.

You can download all the files in a compressed zip here

With theses mods the switches carry only the small current of the coil relays so we dont have problems  never with the switches

In few days i will post the pictures of the pcb wih the relays and the wirings

Nice day

Added the Charging wiring who was missed
You can get it in the same link now

It is with pleasure that I try to give back what was given to me

I think the Kymco version has a DC cdi, and stator output to it, and the QMB is an AC version.

For a 4 stroke 2014 ts a DC CDI with a pickup output to it from the magneto generator (no ac output to it)

Hello

Sometimes it is very difficult to read the electrical wiring schematic

So i have made separate wiring schematic for each electrical function

Hope that this can help someone

Agility 50 / Re: Headlight resistor and Auto Choke resistor
« on: September 30, 2014, 06:59:04 AM »
I made my own reply

Quote
AutoChoke
It seems that the resistor with the automatic choke has the function of increasing the rise time.
Since it is powered by alternating current, it may be possible to put a diode instead of the resistor?
Like this, It will be powered only during one alternance and the voltage is halved ?
Yes its possible and a diode like 1N4001 to 1N4006 will fit well
But putting a CTN will be better because the enricher can work quickly when temp is hot
instead of working all the time
Quote
Headlight
The resistor is only used when no lights are powered
Is the resistor serves to protect the generator coil against high voltage in this case of no lights powered?
So the resistor is for protecting people against touching wire when the motor is running and no lights are on
In this case the current can reach up to 100V and can be very dangerous for some people
The alternator is 1000V protected and nothing damage to it with no resistor

Nice day to all

If I were to do the wiring I would do exactly what you have done, and ground it as close as possible to the coil

Be sure to remove the paint of the frame before and its ok

I will do some work on the wiring to see if others mods are possible (the regulator is also too far the battery and the wiring will be as short as possible to avoid errors

Thanks for all

Hi

If the coil was wired as you say its true that its a safety feature

But here its not the case

The switch has four terminals and
IG coming from the pickup
E Ground to the frame
BAT1 +12v coming from the battery
BAT2 +12v after connection

When the key is on the ON position
BAT1 and BAT2 are cconnected so all the equipment are 12 v powered

When the key is on the  OFF position or on the LOCK position
IG and E are connected the motor stopping working because the pickup was grounded and not suitable for the CDI

The ground ot the coil is directly connected to the E terminal who is going directly to the ground of the frame so there is no effect on this on any position of the key

I have not the bike here to see if the schematic is true (its the bike of my  granchild) but if the schematic of kymco is true its very strange

Here is the schematic

Good week end to all

Hi

Sorry the Com switch is the ignition switch with the key

For sure ground is ground but the lenght of the wire has not to be so long, this can only make problems

On many bikes the coil id directly connected to the rgound

Hi

I have ordered a  1500 torque spring and 5.5g rollers
Does i need to change also the clutch springs with a 1500 value or can i use the originals one ?

Thanks
