Yager GT 200i / DrPulley clutch
« on: August 19, 2013, 11:28:09 PM »
Yager 200i, The best clutch you can buy is the DrPulley HiT clutch. I just put one in my 2007 Yamaha Majesty 400. The original clutch on the Yamahas are pretty much junk when they are new and just keep getting worse. You can adjust the point at where they start to engage and you can also adjust the point at which they fully lock up solid. It's all done with different sets of springs. They give you an additional 3 different sets of springs of differing tension. You install the springs that give the results your looking for. The price on mine was $370.00 and worth every penny of it. One for our Yagers should be around $260.00 or so. I'm not sure. Go to the buggypartsnw.com website and contact them about it. When it locks up it is direct and solid and fully adjustable.

Yager GT 200i / Homemade Windshield
« on: July 23, 2013, 10:09:34 PM »
I made my own windshield for my Yager today. It's made from my original shield off of my old 400 Burgman scooter. I had to trim away on all four sides to get it down to fit. It must be pretty aerodynamic because it didn't take any thing away from top speed, 72mph. I was able to make use of the hardware from my unused Isotta windshield. Good body and face protection. What do you think of it?

Yager GT 200i / Installed sliders today
« on: July 21, 2013, 04:24:15 AM »
I got to see how 16gr sliders work in my Yager today. Very well thank you. Just like they worked in my 2007 400 Burgman. Better pickup at takeoff and 4 to 500 less rpm at 65mph. The Yager is so easy to work on compared to the Burgman.

Yager GT 200i / speedometer
« on: June 29, 2013, 08:35:16 PM »
Does anyone elses speedometer seem to jump up or down by three mph instead of increments of 1 mph every time the number changes? It seems to do it at random speeds not always the same places. Could it need to have the cable lubricated. Just wondering if it's supposed to be like that. Doesn't seem right.

Yager GT 200i / Hot hose
« on: June 17, 2013, 11:30:55 PM »
I had a rather shocking finding happen to me yesterday. After a break I took from riding in the countryside I thought I would take a bit of an inspection tour of the bike to see if everything was looking OK and there were no leaks and such. After all it is water cooled. While looking underneath the motor I noticed that the water hose from the lower cylinder head to the water pump was resting on the exhaust pipe right where the oxygen sensor bolts into the exhaust pipe. It had already burned through about 1/16" of an inch of the hose when I noticed it. Arrrgh! I was a bit nervous about making it home before further damage ensued so I looked around for something to wedge between the hose and the exhaust pipe. I found a piece of wood chip about 3/8" thick and I put it in between. Made it home OK and I now have some fiberglass exhaust packing clamped around the hose to insulate it from the pipe. I ordered a new hose from 2 wheel Pros for $10.00 and will replace it then. I am going to make a small wire guide to keep the new hose from ever touching the exhaust pipe again. Man! You can't trust dealers and now I find that you can't trust the people who assemble the products we buy.

Yager GT 200i / How high
« on: June 15, 2013, 04:03:55 AM »
This is a question for anyone. How high do you fill up the gas tank? I have been filling mine up just until the pump auto shutoff kicks on. How can I be sure if I'm filling it up exactly the same amount each time so I get an accurate repeat for checking gas mileage?  So far on my first 3 fillups I've gotten 79, 80, and 82 mpg which I am extremely happy with.

Yager GT 200i / New Yager today
« on: May 29, 2013, 02:26:33 AM »
Well I brought my new Yager home to day from the dealer and already my confidence in my dealer is shot down. I went to install my battery tender on the battery and when I removed the cover under the seat to get at the battery I got a big surprise. The plastic cover that actually holds the battery securely was missing. The cover with the spare fuses molded into it. Then I see that they mounted the battery sideways in the opening and it was just bouncing around in there loose. I thought I heard some clunking noise under the seat while I was riding home today but I figured it was just the little tool kit under the seat bouncing around, not my battery. As you know, these are acid filled batteries not the agm kind (quality) so I was worried about it leaking acid all over everything but it appears that nothing leaked out as far as I can tell. I'll be giving the dealer a call in the morning to ask where my missing cover is and tell them what kind of job I think they did on the setup of my scooter. The funny thing is that they gave me a plastic bag with the four machine screws that hold the cover on, in it under the seat. But not the cover. How considerate of them!

Yager GT 200i / rear rack removal
« on: May 24, 2013, 02:21:07 AM »
Retread are you still on this forum? I was wondering if you could tell me where you got that rack for your Yager? Did you make it up for yourself or was it purchased? I would like to do the same thing you did. I have a Kymco box from my People 300GTI that I want to put on the Yager.

People GT 300i / headlight aiming
« on: July 04, 2012, 07:35:12 AM »
Has anyone tried to lower the aim of the headlight on their bike yet? Mine came adjusted to high. I thought the screw just under the headlight would do it but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
