Downtown 300 / SQUEAKING ON THE DOWNTOWN?

I notice at times my bike squeaks like when I jump up and down on the seat it will squeak a fair bit.  What to do to solve this?  Grease shocks or?

Downtown 300 / PREPPING FOR ANOTHER TRIP ON MY DOWNTOWN!

This will be my 4th 1000 km trip this summer!  SHOULD I TAKE THIS NUT WITH ME, OR LEAVE IT H0ME.  :o   ;D
I have had this bike for less than 5 months and I have 8600 km's on it. I love this ride! Had the valves adjusted yesterday, a new sparky, filter cleaned, tires checked and I am ready to role as long as the weather stays nice enough.  Getting cold here.

What is your experience with this part of the maintenance.  I am at 8500 km's and will have these looked at tomorrow.

Downtown 300 / Warming Up THE DOWNTOWN?

I am wondering something about when we start up this bike.  Should I always wait until the bike warms up after the dash Gage thing moves up to halfway, or does this matter?  Maybe in the cold months?

Hey ya all :) I am wondering something. I have almost 9000k's on my Downtown now. I took three fairly big trips? this summer and may do yet one more before the harsh cold comes here in Canada. What should I be aware of if any issues with the bike. What should I be checking on the bike to make sure all is in good shape. I know tires, brakes, oil, bolts/nuts but is there anything else I should be aware of? THANKS!

Downtown 300 / NO POWER - HELP :)

Hi friends, I am posting this for a friend and her little 50 cc has lost power.  What can this be?  She wrote this below to me.

When I say hold back, I mean its like she has no more power to go more then 53.  She almost makes a putter sound when you try to push her.  Even going downhill, she screams like she is maxed out.

At 53, she acts like she does when I am going at like 70\75 downhill.  Its like she can't do anymore

I have only put 3800km's on my bike and the back tire seems to be wearing strangely..  or is it just the way it is.  It is looking flat in the middle of it.  Is this normal.

Downtown 300 / Please help - Larger Windscreen?

 I just ordered the GIVI windscreen today.  I have around 1700 km's on my bike now and I would say about 70% of these KM's were very uncomfortable riding due to winds that were only between 15 and 20 km an hour.  I was getting alot of my head being thrown around and when side winds came at me well it caused me to put my hazard lights on!  Very uncomfortable ride.  Is it possible that my top box is part of the problem?   Tell me will this new shield help?  Will I lose much speed? :) Thanks, Kathryn.
