General Discussion / What are you using for oil drain pan for low clearance models?

I have been meaning to pick up an oil drain pan but my people s250 has really low clearance and is bottom drain. On stand only have about 8 inches floor to plug, that doesnt leave much room to remove plug by hand and also have a container in place. I have been dealing but dealing means making a mess because i have to slide something in place after pulling plug and that is never a clean process. So my ask if what drain pans / containers / other are you using for low clearance scooters?

So over the last 6 months been sitting more then riding. Between waiting on parts and wfh the scooter hasnt been utilized much. Today put it all back together and it struggled hard to start. Had to eventually hold throttle open some to get it to go, prior to that it sounded like it was going fire but never did. Once started though ran like a champ, went about 12 miles city and hwy driving, up and down hills no problem. Stopped, shut off and tried to start, again just crank crank crank then finally it started. Ran it back home pulled into driveway shut it off and tried to start it again. This time nothing just cranking, I dont think its fuel or spark as when it starts it runs great. Though i am open to testing / looking at anything. What i dont want to do is randomly buy parts without a logical path as to why its needed. Any input?

Need your collective knowledge. Have always used kymco oem but recently at least for my area kymco changed shipping policy and even local stores want 25 shipping just for a belt. So that has gotten me on my way to find alternatives. The above belt cross references with oem part number 23100-LLJ3-E00. However it just feels a bit small, it wraps the clutch and with a little effort does pull across the variator post though not as comfortable as i previously remember and just feels a bit snug. Just looking to see if anyone has used this belt on their s250?

People 250 / New speedo cable to short

Wondering is anyone has any ideas or input, 2007 s 250 (verified via vin). BA50AB model ordered part 44830 as identified across the internet as the correct speedo cable. The new cable is about 6 inches too short. Shop is closed today for me to call but looking around everyone has the same part listed so i expect its going to be the same across the port. Input anyone?

People 250 / need fast idle help

Carb now fixed but no more fast idle. I had carb completely apart at one point, basically all screws and jets out. I most probably missed getting something set back to where it needs to be and cannot find in maintenance doc what to check. What can effect fast idle so i can figure out where its off. Outside of fast idle it starts and runs great. Only side effect is it idles a bit off until warm.

The sounds and loss of power i have read others have but not really the same problem. When cold scooter runs up to 85 no issues. When warm however only gets to 70ish and goes no more, when this occurs it also makes a strange internal fluttering sound. Sounds like the muffler is partially clogged. Acts 100% normal all other times and speeds. Warm from dead stop, acceleration spot on, any other speed or other condition fine. Only at highway speeds once warm does it make that sound and it makes it every time. As soon as speed drops or let off throttle sound goes away. Get on the throttle again and right about 70 right back. Picked up with 4600 miles on it, has 15.5k as of today. Belt has about 4k on it, has new plug, ignition coil and fresh oil (both). I have heard rumblings of cdi but agree as most cdi's arnt usually intermittent they either work or dont. Though i have had ecms on cars act funky when hot. Looking for input as its driving me crazy, stay 65mph or less and it runs like a champ. Only issue with that is 65 mph around here and youll get run over.
