For Sale / For sale - Agility 50 - 10 plate. Spares/repair
« on: May 12, 2015, 07:09:41 PM »
Going to be selling my ag50. Not sure what it's worth.

Hasn't been started since it died about a year ago. Last time I checked the engine turned, with the starter motor although it seemed strained.

I would prefer to sell it as one piece, but breaking may be an option, although no guarantee on the condition of parts.

Thank you
Bradders.

Just had another quick look, thought I would try the electric starter. It turned. It sounded strained, and it didn't fire.

There was barely any oil that came out.

I will try and get time to check the gear, but between working nights and shortening daylight hours, its a touch difficult until a day off.

Thanks for the help guys, can't wait to get back on the road again.

It was harder to turn than I remember, the electric starter won't turn it. Will have a check of the oil when I get chance and now trying to procure a compression tester.

It was low on oil  :( I have changed it though.

The belt seems fine, chucked a socket wrench on the variator nut and I can manually crank it.

Sounds like it will be a tear down and rebuild job.

Cheers for the help guys.

I have searched for the issue but to no avail. Thought I would ask the people on here who seem more knowledgeable about these scooters for help.

Agility 50 / Whine then died, now won't start

Hi, long time member and reader but rare poster or commenter, had my scoot for about 4 years and any maintenance has been done by myself. Its got a freeflow filter, lighter weights, naraku variator kit and cut cdi.

I was recently riding home along a dual carriageway. There was a strange whining noise as the scoot cut out, started straight back up on the button then did the same thing about 30 yards on. Did this a couple of times and decided not to chance it so walked it home. When home I tried to crank it and it wouldn't turn.

Does anyone know what the problem may be, can't carry on with public transport any longer.

Cheers

Agility 50 / £17.99 80cc Big Bore Kit on ebay
« on: January 30, 2013, 05:01:16 PM »
Let me start with I'm not even considering buying this.

As I was looking through ebay I came across an 80cc BBK for £17.99 + £12 p+p. With a price like that it must be too good to be true. The listing does look quite comprehensive, it shows bolt hole distances, piston and pin size. Although some of the text seems like its been translated or written badly, for instance :- This is a kit which increases swept capacity of a cylinder to 80CC ! It indicates of vehicle power !

Anyway here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIG-BORE-80CC-BARREL-CYLINDER-KIT-KYMCO-AGILITY-MMC50-ONE50-ONE-NEXXON-4T-50-/150983884979?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item23275740b3

Hopefully if it is a damp filter, it will dry out soon.

I'll try the bolts again, hopefully be able to sort that out.

My current setup was working fine, until it got cold and had starting trouble. The weather has started warming up a little lately so hopefully will be able to do some more soon.

I was going to look at my caliper and clean it up, but none of the Allen bolts will undo. Is there any way to help them undo, if not I've seen some 2nd hand ones on ebay.

what size jet do you have in you need 85 or better if you have open filter. and in bad weather place a cover over the filter. and did you ever replace the dive poss with a smooth one.

I believe I have a #92 jet. My air filter has a screw on cover. It has got the smooth boss.

When I last removed the bendix it seemed ok and moved freely.

Seems to be a bad time of year for Agilitys.

I don't know loads yet, still learning from the people on here, but have you checked all is well with your carb and jets.

Today was a good day. Using sods law to my advantage, I bought a return bus ticket, found a charger for my battery. Took the battery out, charged it, put it back and finally. Turn, turn, turn, FIRE. It lives.

Now I have have it home, I can start sorting the faults. One slight fault I noticed on the way home, the front brake is on, all the time slightly. I can just about hit 30 on the speedo.

I have a spade connector on my starter and the wire used to come off just enough to stop it working, I had to hold it on properly with one hand and use the other to hold the break and start button. It's worth checking.  I've modded mine now so I don't need to hold it though.
