For Sale / For sale - Agility 50 - 10 plate. Spares/repair
« on: May 12, 2015, 07:09:41 PM »
Going to be selling my ag50. Not sure what it's worth.

Hasn't been started since it died about a year ago. Last time I checked the engine turned, with the starter motor although it seemed strained.

I would prefer to sell it as one piece, but breaking may be an option, although no guarantee on the condition of parts.

Thank you
Bradders.

Agility 50 / Whine then died, now won't start
« on: October 26, 2014, 06:10:46 PM »
Hi, long time member and reader but rare poster or commenter, had my scoot for about 4 years and any maintenance has been done by myself. Its got a freeflow filter, lighter weights, naraku variator kit and cut cdi.

I was recently riding home along a dual carriageway. There was a strange whining noise as the scoot cut out, started straight back up on the button then did the same thing about 30 yards on. Did this a couple of times and decided not to chance it so walked it home. When home I tried to crank it and it wouldn't turn.

Does anyone know what the problem may be, can't carry on with public transport any longer.

Cheers

Agility 50 / £17.99 80cc Big Bore Kit on ebay
« on: January 30, 2013, 05:01:16 PM »
Let me start with I'm not even considering buying this.

As I was looking through ebay I came across an 80cc BBK for £17.99 + £12 p+p. With a price like that it must be too good to be true. The listing does look quite comprehensive, it shows bolt hole distances, piston and pin size. Although some of the text seems like its been translated or written badly, for instance :- This is a kit which increases swept capacity of a cylinder to 80CC ! It indicates of vehicle power !

Anyway here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIG-BORE-80CC-BARREL-CYLINDER-KIT-KYMCO-AGILITY-MMC50-ONE50-ONE-NEXXON-4T-50-/150983884979?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item23275740b3

Hi guys,
So all was well in scooterville until it started getting cold and wet. On nice days it will kick start no problem, as soon as its wet and/or slightly cold, I'm lucky if it will start after 10 minutes kicking.

The electric start has been playing up for a while due to the top cable always falling off, but now the tab it pushes onto has snapped off, but there is just enough for it to work if i hold it in the right place. But once the starter is usable it doesn't always engage and sometimes makes a lovely grinding sound. I have to tap the ignition button until i get the right noise.

Any help with those problems would be great.

Aside from needing help with the starting, I'm also putting together a parts list ready to start buying on my next payday, while also trying to find UK based retailers for them, got a couple I've used before.

The list so far is:-
New rollers,
Starter Motor,
Spark Plug,
Fuel Filter,
Oil Sump Plug - mine is damaged but still holding oil.

Thanks

Brads

Agility 50 / Urgent Help - No Rear Red lights
« on: September 16, 2011, 10:43:26 PM »
Got on my scooter to go home and no red lights. No brake light or main light. Could it just be a blown bulb. Help needed fast. If it is the bulb can I pick one up from halfords in the UK.

Thanks

Hi,
I'm about to order some parts for my scoot and was wondering what peoples experiences were with them. I'm looking at the Naraku high speed variator. http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/high-speed-variator-set-p-3194.html

It has everything I want for the time being, smooth boss and lighter weights, with the added bonus of a new variator.

After I have installed these I will be getting a #82 jet and possibly going iridium.

Also is there any worries with waiting to up-jet after changing the variator parts.

Thanks
Brads

Agility 50 / Getting the right parts
« on: July 05, 2011, 08:12:56 PM »
Hi,
I'm finally getting round to doing more than just the CDI cut. I've been looking at a couple of sites for parts, central scooters and Taipei scooter assassins.

From what I've read on this forum and according to central scooters the variator boss should be 28mm. http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/variator-28mm-boss-p-3193.html
Yet Taipei scooter assassins say 38mm should be the right size. http://www.exportstrength.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_44_332&products_id=403

There is also quite a difference in the price of the two websites. one being £13.23+del and the other £9.

Can anyone help clarify the sizes.

Thanks
Brads

Agility 50 / Front Brake Squeak/Grind
« on: April 10, 2011, 12:44:23 PM »
I have recently noticed my front brake making a squeaky grinding noise under braking. I have noticed some rust dots on the disc and a possible groove, running all the way round, present when I run my finger over it. It doesn't sound good to me.

The scoot is only 7-8 months old.

If its just a case of needing new pads, is there any UK based suppliers?

Thanks

Agility 50 / Low Electrical Power
« on: November 18, 2010, 10:37:19 PM »
Hi,

I've been around this forum for a few months and have only just decided to start joining in.

My scooter is around 2 months old. I'm having trouble starting. Sometimes the electric starter will sound as though its struggling to turn and others it will spin as though it has no resistance, but not start. I am having to kick start it, which isn't a big problem. My lights and instruments seem dimmer but not sure if its just my eyes.

Would it just be a simple dying battery or something a bit more serious.

Thanks, Brads.
