*Well it does not have a stereo or speakers yet but that is a possibility.
** If there are some new one's left you should buy one, although you could get a better deal if you buy used with low miles. Mine had 2800 miles and came with many extra's. Such as the hookup with switch for a Tom Tom GPS (bought a used 3rd generation for $25), new battery, a mounted Memphis shade windshield, xenon alarm, battery float charger with clip into bike, chain lube, a modified exhaust, dual helmet Kurkalan helmet locks, different saddle bags, tank bag, CD owner's manual, helmet cable, extra bulbs and a can of fuel stabilizer. I paid his asking price of $2325 and had him deliver it to me in NY from CT, then drove him home and got the clean title and two sets of keys.
***Glad you like it, it really turns heads now. Will up load newer pictures because she is even more customized. The cool thing is I did it all myself scoping out he best deals and spent only about 5 bills.
**** The yellow one on CL was also on Ebay (where I found most all of my mods) and was a steal and a deal. You should have bought it. It was from NJ. I simply LUV my Venox and really lucked out because I did the research after I bought. Tested well, but did not buy new. Bought via Paypal from a u tube video clip. Thanks for the interest and feedback...  :D

I have a 800 V-Twin Honda Pacific Coast for  over  20 years. Every Fall I top off gas and add stabil fuel stabilizer and in the Spring I pull the choke and spray starting fluid in the exhaust and the bike fires right up. Never any damage or concern. They use this spray in cold engines manifold to start the engine because it is more combustible than gasoline.  ;)

First syphon out & add fresh gas, then pull out choke and spray starting fluid inside exhaust mufflers when you crank engine. Next check battery and see if it is getting spark, pull out plug and clip in and then hold screwdriver next to tip when you crank.  You could also try spraying the carbs with gumout inside and out once it is running & definitely change the oil and filter. Warm oil up first and use motorcycle oil-10W40 for the Venox.

Since I topped off the oil and checked for proper fan operation the red hot light has not come on. Weather is cooler though. I did pour some antifreeze in hose overflow, too lazy to take off covers and I think that helped a lot. Thanks for the oil check tip.

Nice stock bike. You could check out youtube video's and I can give you many pointers on making it custom. Let out the clutch real slow in first and ease up on throttle at same time and it will not stall, Happy Ridin'. How can I load pictures like yours, my Firefox doesn't have paint option to make smaller?. I want to show off my Custom 2007 Venox somewhere over the rainbow. Thanks...

Found a set of beautiful chrome crash bars with highway pegs for $69 to the door on Ebay. They came from a Honda Magna. Took a chance, but made them fit perfectly. Make sure they are the right width and have the 1 1/4" brackets on top, then rig up a u- bolt on the bottom support. On the side where the radiator is one bolt I slipped in from the back. The back rest from Tony Tucomo with chrome luggage rack is custom made to fit, just follow the illustration carefully since instructions are in Spanish.

 8) There is one other place to cover the name. That is on the front brake caliper. I covered it with white colored reflective diamond tape cut to fit. Is there anywhere to post a picture of my custom bike? I also put a deer whistle cone on front fender, lots of stupid deer up here. Thanks for reading...

You could order a pdf manual on ebay for around 10 bucks. It will have all the info in the trouble shooting section and in a detailed section on the CDI testing. Hope this info helpful.

I was not yellin', just had font in Capital mode and too lazy to rewrite. This post is not a pissing contest but if you send a picture of your Venox I will sent 1 of mine, 5 to 1 Steve mine will look much cooler. I take pride in everything I own and like to be original. Customizing on the cheap works for me and It really blows my dress up. No disrespect to Canada, You live in a great country and I almost moved there. May even retire there. Enjoy the ride..... 8)

Venox 250 / Oil level check
« on: October 20, 2011, 03:19:52 AM »
I have a Pdf manual and on checking the oil level it says to put on level surface on it's stand and then further on it says to check when upright. Which is correct?
