Tires

Tires are just past the ware marks .i have new tire already.But just wana get the most of what i have on it now.lot of good tred on the side walls .little in the center.should i go a few more 100.00 miles or change.

My .02: Put on new tires.  I'm not the most experienced guy on the road by a long shot...but the only thing keeping you upright are two small patches of rubber, a few inches square.  I want those few inches to be in good shape.  I feel like motorcycle tires are the last thing to cheap out on.  $100 is not worth your traction/life.

Yes, I agree. Also look for the age of the tire on the sidewall (DOT-Number). If the tire has reached 3 or 4 years your decision should be an even easier one.

Good stuff on the sidewalls - bare in the center?
Might work if you stay in nothing but knee-dragging L & R turns?
Flatten some beer cans and duct tape 'em on your knees.

Got the point thanks guys. We are have a hot weather right now. So as soon as I can stand it long enough to be out side ill change the tires.....The hot roads realy do a # on the tires here.

 ;) I have experimented with the darkside on my V-Strom 1000,  studded knobby in front, General Altimax Arctic on the back, I could get around in the snow as good as my Jeep, worked ok in mud as well  but not great low speed or off road due to large contact patch and squishy sidewalls that stiffen as speed increases, I found a spare rear wheel so I only run it in winter now  8)

Karl, don't know your tire size however it's a Maxxis MA-202 purchased through Amazon for $47.

Thanks, Dan. Did you have any trouble mounting this square shoulder tire on the scooter rim? I would be real careful on turns with this since no side car/outrigger wheels were seen in your picture.

OK, how does that tire work in corners?

You, know - they preach constantly to us not to mix tire types, tread types - front and rear. Constantly hear that.
Now you have a scooter tire on the front - and what?, a trailer tire on the rear?!
