« on: July 12, 2017, 05:26:54 PM »
I have heard from a few Kymco dealers that the Xciting 400i and the Xtown 300i will, in fact, be coming to the U.S.

Some of this helps too

anti monkey butt powder!  Yes, its a thing.

This is what I use on my DT. Works great, folds small into it's pouch, and stores easily. Also, keeps seat dry in light showers.

What did you put?

Don't recall right now. Dealer did it as the one they replaced kept failing, so they upgraded it for free. not home, now.

I had to upgrade the battery in mine to a much stronger one.

A couple years ago an independent (ie: leave out the Middle Man/Dealers and sell wares privately by roadside stand) fisherman went over one of Maine's famous pot holes and dumped his load. Could not sell them after due to laws/regulations and encouraged all of us who witnessed to grab what we could/wanted, as it would become an insurance claim for him anyway.

My bike has a 48 liter top case , two full-sized saddle bags with cooler bags inside (waterproof storage) . Holds a lot !

His load.........Fresh Maine lobsters ! Had steamed lobster, lobster rolls, lobster stew, etc. for a long time (freezes well).

Downtown 300 / Re: Shorter Reach Brake Levers
« on: April 28, 2017, 11:42:04 PM »
Has anyone found an aftermarket brake lever that is closer to the grip? I have a 2013 Downtown and I find the OEM levers in the closest adjusted position still a stretch to reach. If so, could you provide make and model. Thanks much.

You know that the brake levers on the Downtown are adjustable, right?

Look at various sites ( Bike Bandit, Motorcycle Superstore, etc. ) . Buy a heavy duty Cruiser cover ( for Harley's and so forth). That's what I use in People S 205 and Downtown 300i. They are large enough to cover over muffler and even brake rotors and are heavy, waterproof, circulation (air pockets) , etc.

Reflector (where it is positioned) keeps majority of bags away from sides/paint. Just position the bag where it works best on those bags. I removed connector flap on bags and secured the zip-off portion where I wanted it, then zipped bags in place.

Putting sheepskin, blankets, etc. on the bike will only collect dust and create more scratching.

I use regular leather bags and use a steel tie wrap to secure them to the passenger handrails. The side blinkers keep them off the side of the bike... no contact.

Here is a quote about Rastafarianism from Wikipedia;   "The Rastafari way of life encompasses the spiritual use of cannabis[3][4] and the rejection of the degenerate society of materialism, oppression, and sensual pleasures, called Babylon"  You may not partake of weed because you wear the band, but the religion promotes it. It would not be an unreasonable assumption that somenone who wears the Rastafarian symbol at least supports the use of cannabis or does not know  the religion or its practices.

We all know what Assume does, right?  ("Makes an As* out of you and me ).

"The Rastafarian arm band says he probably smokes a lot of weed."

I have an 'arm'/wrist band just like that. One of my Bosses gave it to all employees as a souvenir after a trip she took to Jamaica. You should not jump to conclusions.

It appears that the rider glanced to his left (unknown reason) just prior to reorienting his sight forward/crashed into car.

Sounds like mine. About same mileage/miles (mine might have been closer to 4000 miles). It was the belt.
