Seems like a really good engine with fuel injection and liquid cooled and plenty of power. Does anyone know if this engine has just faded away or could it have been used in any other scooters. ?

I never knew they built a 200cc water cooled. I know the current 200 is only 163cc and air cooled FI
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

and to add something I discovered yesterday, while flipping through the online version of my service manual....the 163cc (always wondered where they came up with that oddball size) motor is a bored out version of the Kymco 125cc.  Exact same stroke but larger bore on the 163.

I was also unaware that this motor was available in a liquid cooled version? I don't think that is accurate...I believe the liquid cooled Kymcos started at 250cc...but could be wrong..

My 2012 Yeager is a GT 200i as listed. The actual displacement is 174cc as spec sheets seem to say. It is liquid cooled and fuel injected. Looks like the model was produced from 2009--2012. was just wondering if it was used elsewhere? Thanks, Ernie

It looks like the Downtown 200i in 2012 and 2013 used the liquid cooled motor but it looks like  205cc.

It's a version of the first generation Honda SH 150 engine with a big bore kit. SYM uses it, and so does Keeway. Solid engine, not much performance.
Been riding for a very long time.

Can confirm that for the engine as used in the Keeway.  The word that first springs to mind to describe my son's 125cc Keeway is "gutless".

Thanks for the reply. I have looked all over the internet and am unable to find where Keyway ever used this engine. Could I ask where you found this? Just to be clear, The engine although called a 200 is actually 174.5 cc. Also the engine is fuel injected and liquid cooled. As I said I'm searching all over and cannot find another scoot that uses this engine. Any help would be great, Thanks, Ernie

I have heard the same as KymcoRockr stated: the Yager ('Frost' in Canada) motor is a Honda SH150 with a big bore kit. I heard this from the guy who runs 'scooterpartsco'.

The air-cooled small Kymcos all use variations on the Chinese GY6 base.  The smaller models (50cc to 100cc) are usually called the "QMB39" unit.  The bigger blocks (125cc to175cc) are usually referred to as the "GY6" units. The block and crank come in two versions with different cylinder attach bolt spacings (attached image is the "large" cylinder. Online you can find the cylinder/piston pairs with different bores. There's only 2 choices. You just need to match the cylinder head with the new cylinder/piston combo.  If you can't make a match, then buy the cylinder/piston unit and a matching cylinder head.  There's two models of cylinder head based on different valve lengths.  It all makes sense once you get into it.

I have a Racing king 180cc that I bought new in 2013 that might be the same size engine as the advertised 200. Very good engine, water cooled and have had zero problems. Kymco just came out with a new 180 KRV that supposed to have an independent swing arm like that found on motorcycles. The 180cc has all the power you need here in Taiwan, yet there are many larger.

Here in Italy my Grand Dink 150 has 151ccm and same liquid cooled setup like the Grand Dink (Grand Vista ex Europe) 250 elsewhere.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
