Bet & Win 150 / 10K mile/16K KM review of B&W 150
« on: December 06, 2011, 04:39:30 AM »
Hey everybody! I have not been in here for a few years but wanted to let people know my B&W 150 has ran very well, and I have about 10,000 miles on her already! I went through a set of tires and replaced the belt at 10K mi. Rollers were still very good and round ..no flat spots. I am still getting around 65 -70 MPG on gas. I have been changing all the fluids, plugs and checked valve gap like Mfg says....so far so good. I still say this was a good scooter for the money. I have done a couple 1K mile trips on her and packed her down with sleeping bags, tent food...etc. Although I have a Burg 650 for major traveling I still get a kick out of doing back country roads with the 150. I'll keep you posted as I go along...safe riding all!  Oldhummer

Does anybody know the drive belt size for the Bet&Win 150? I would like to get a Kevlar belt as a spare.

Bet & Win 150 / B&W 150 Gear Oil
« on: March 02, 2008, 03:36:11 PM »
I was wondering if the 90W Gear Oil for the B&W 150 is GL-4 or GL5 ?  Do the KYMCO Shops use GL-4 or Gl-5 gear oil? I understand if there are any bronze or brass bearings in the gear reduction system you cannot use GL-5 oil, as the additives, phosphorus and sulfur will eat up the bronze bearings. The shop manual I have doesn't say the specifications of the SAE90W oil??  Oldhummer

I just picked up a new B&W 150, dont ask me why...I gave up scooters back in 67. I guess I might be going thru my second childhood again..Heh! I sure dont see much on Kymco scooters on the net or in the Denver area where I live. This has got me worried, I wonder how the dealers and manufacture support is?

I sure liked the looks of my maroon B&W 150 and I am still breaking it in (slowly), heck its snowing here off & on and cold so I dont get to ride as often. I would sure like to hear from other B&W owners and find out how they are doing with their scoots! I hope I am not the only one with a 150 around here??  Best regards, oldhummer

Ps...oldhummer comes from riding a 1958 Harley 125CC "Hummer" for so many years!
