First, check your engine kill switch on the left grip.  Turn the key on, does the fuel pump run?  If no, check the center relay under the right fender to make sure its plugged in all the way.  If the fuel pump isn't running it isn't getting fuel to the injector and it won't start.  I had this last week...

If you want the 694 page service manual shoot me a private message, I will hook you up.

I don't really have an update other than it hasn't happened again, I wonder if its related to temp and battery drop of something...

One thing I will say is the cyclepedia.com manual is great.  I bought online access for a year and then printed each section to .pdf via pdfRedirec v2.5.2 and I have the complete repair and service manual as a .pdf file now.  That may come in handy down the line.

MXU / 2014 MXU 450i fuel pump will not run at key on sometimes

I had some fun this weekend, but not the kind I wanted to have. My 2014 MXU 450i had some issues at key on, the fuel pump did not run.  I couldn't figure it out other than to say it finally worked after I unplugged and plugged in most all of the connections in front of the handlebars and even unplugged and replugged the three relays on the right front of the machine.

I moved away from my dealer last year, so if I have to take it back to them its quite the trip down there.  I am thinking its something simple, or maybe not, but hoping for a intermittent relay issue or something else simple. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

I talked to the dealer, they agree it's the switch most likely.

As soon as I am done ice fishing it will go down to the dealer to get fixed up.

I should have included that. The dash display cycles with the button. I think the button is this issue personally, but am not sure.

MXU / 2014 mxu 450i 4wd button issue

This is a new machine, bought as a leftover this summer.  The 4wd button is finicky, when I push it I can hear the actuator working, etc, not binding or anything out of the norm, but when I let up the button doesn't always stay pushed in, which then disengages it.  If I keep pushing it multiple times, eventually it will stay engaged.  At first I thought it wasn't getting into 4wd, so I would roll forward a bit, etc. but it seems like it is all working, just the button wont' stay engaged.

Any advice before I haul it 75 miles to the dealer?
