The bigger issue is you have to look up the legality of trailering a camper/trailer w/ a scooter in Maine.

I personally think it's a great idea, and your scoot should do fine w/ it for short hauls. I wouldn't think 200 miles at 50 mph is a great idea but short runs, and plenty of stops... cool.

Handling is a whole nuther ball of wax. It's not the same geometry as a 100 lbs passenger. That trailer will want to run you over, and 100 lbs at 40 mph is equal to a fly swatter to a fly... (sort of)
