Title: My kymco quannon very loud

My bike so so loud and it's not the exhaust but the actual engine.. it does gets quieter at 4th gear but anything below is just crazy loud I will update the post tomorrow with your tube clip of the noise thanks it advance

Does anyone have resolution on how to fix this and make it sound normal again thanks in advance

I cannot comment on the general loudness of the engine, but there definitely sounds like a tappet issue (the higher note clacking/tapping noise) that is easily adjustable by a competent handy man and a service manual.

I started today stripping the bike i have managed to remove the air filter
i have also download the manual for my bike .
still a little confused on what is the tappet and where is it on the bike?
do i have remove the whole engine from the frame o achieve this?

also i have attached images from the manual

In the manual it refers to valve clearance adjustment, that is what I am talking about.

In the video, that is what you must do.

It should not be necessary to remove the engine to do this job.

As in the parts picture, just take off the tappet cover, by removing the 4 bolts. The rubber gasket might just fall out of the cover or need a gentle tug if it is stuck to the head.
