Title: Blessing of the Bikes
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on May 12, 2017, 02:03:07 AM
This Saturday I will be attending the 7th annual Blessing of the Bikes at my local big box dealer.
Weather bodes far better for this w/e than last year - there weren't many who ventured out for the day long festivities in a steady, cold rain last year.

I rec'd several props for my nicely "restored Italian scooter" !

Plenty of dry scooters for sale inside. They sell Kymco, Yamaha, Honda, & Suzuki scooters - no Italians, though they have used ones from time-to-time.

Lots of bikes, including all the Ducatis.

Wow!  That's quite a showroom, Stig !
Must be a really big city...

I was in one years back that was a re-purposed general merchandise store, but it was kinda sparsely populated with models.

We did bike blessing when I was in CMA. It wasn't an annual bless of all the bikes. It was done individually one bike at a time and was used as a-witness tool I was offering blessings on a poker run at the gates of Graceland. When ever a group showed up to draw a card, I would ask if anyone needed their bike blessed. I asked this one old dirty looking biker, riding a rat bike. He said might as well, she needs all the help she can get. So I blessed his bike and put a CMA sticker on the bug covered windshield and moved on.Shortly, there after, I heard ole green teeth yelling and cursing a blue streak. He yelled. "that da-- Bible thumper blessed my bike and now she won't start. What did you do to my bike \#*^+!
I've included a couple snaps of two of my latest projects. The Trike was outside at night and you can't see much of it
