Got my winch installed last night. Took a few hours. Dealer was running a special on the warn vantage 3000. Paid less than $100 and turned out really good.

looking good! I almost went with that color scheme too.

I know the black will show dirt and scratches but I really like it.

Time to realize you got yerself an offroad vehicle, they are supposed to get scraps and scratches. Go do some serious trail riding and the newness rubs off real quick!! LOL
-
Oh yeah I live in the woods and it's got its scars already!!! Hahaha. Have owned atvs my whole life and look the same. It's what they are made for

We put the Harbor Freight chinese 2500# winch on our UXV500i and found it very useful. Kinda one of those "how did I ever get along without" this thing!? Dirty, worn utility tool with a few scratches!

I'm with you crossbolt!

I can see permanently mounting a winch up front if yer plowin snow
personally I think it's wiser to have the winch hitch mounted, and install a 2" receiver up front. That way you can winch from front or rear depending on needs at the time

For me the permanent front mount worked well mostly due to the wiring. It's also enclosed in the front end. Battery is right there too. Got a great deal on it.
I do carry a come a long that I can use to pull from the back if needed.
