Agility 50 / Re: Scam or no scam ? Used 2013 Kymco agility 50, 6000 miles
« on: September 22, 2014, 07:33:53 PM »
I found online someone who wants to sell their friend's scooter who moved to another state, it's a Kymco agility 50 bought new in summer 2013. They said she used it 3 months during summer and it's a bit weird how it was bought new and it has 6000 miles now on it after 3 months of riding.

maybe it's only 6000 km - maybe the owner doesn't know the odometer shows km, not miles.  if so, it's only got 3728 miles!

I have no insights to offer, other than to say I think you got a great deal on your scoot!

check the kill switch by your right thumb and make sure it isn't on the kill setting.

Agility 125 / Re: Good/Fair price for a new 2014 Agility 50cc and 125cc?

The prices I got for my potential dealer, are for 2014 agility 50 & 125.
The sales tax here is 6.5%. So the OTD price includes the sales tax and registration and title, by law if you buy a new scooter from a dealer, he gets the title registration and all that done and you pay him for that. How much your new scooters costed you, with sales taxes title registration all included bottom line price?

Yes, as I said, those prices were OTD - out the door...it did include title, sales tax, and registration.

hard to say.  I just paid ~1400 OTD for an agility 50, and $1600 OTD for an agility 125, in Minnesota, but that was for 2013 models.  If you are paying 1900 for your 125 with your discount, what is the FL sales tax?  ~$125? that would leave $175 for registration and title, which seems high.

picked up my red agility 125 on Saturday.  $1595.63 out the door.  They "forgot" to have it set up, so I had to wait well over an hour...at least I got one right out of the crate. Then they only gave me ~1/2 tank of gas!

2013 model...same as our 2 agility 50s.  I thought I'd read somewhere that the 125 was a little longer with more legroom, but that is not the case, per the Kymco sales brochure specs and my eye.  In fact, the two models look identical to me other than the 125 has the clock, the one-piece seat (darn it), and a 125 sticker.

it started and ran great driving home.  it was about 12 miles in a little wind/rain, and I only got it to top out at about 47-48 mph...however, I didn't really crank it full throttle as I want to break it in easily.  I did notice an improvement in acceleration compared to the 50, but maybe not quite as much as I was expecting.  after break-in, will have to have a few drag races with my wife to see how the scoots compare.

now time to take that duckbill rear fender off...which will leave me holes that don't match up with the license plate again...
 :D

What was the out the door price on it.  I have been looking at these as well.  Just haven't made it up there yet.

Not picking up until tomorrow, but it should be $1595:  1199, plus 175 setup, plus 221 sales tax/registration/title

unless they changed it for 2014...
in any event, I decided to buy one, and am picking it up Saturday.  It will be fun to compare it to my 2013 agility 50.
I'd just as soon not have the clock...I won't ride this thing often, have no power for a trickle charger in my (condo) garage, so don't want the additional battery drain. Long winters here in MN!  I'll just have to start it and run it around the garage once a week or so, I guess.

yep, I stopped in there Saturday.  They want a $175 set up fee.  Only other fees are TTL. They have about a half dozen in stock.

Not sure what you mean about the two part seat...do you mean the passenger seat that folds up to become a backrest?  That feature is on my 2013 Agility 50s, but is not on the 2013 Agility 125.  The 125 had a one-piece seat that can seat 2 people.

I did verify (saw another post on the topic in this forum) that the 125 does have a clock.

(I am not affiliated, nor have I ever been in their store.  I have a couple of Agility 50s, and have been looking around to maybe add a 125 to the stable.)
