Rode in parade today
« on: June 30, 2012, 08:07:30 PM »
I rode my GV in our town's Fourth of July parade today. It was about 95 degrees before the start at 11 am. My scoot handled the heat well, only getting to 3 bars on the temperature gauge at the most. The pace was very slow, so I spent most of the time duck-walking, which got tiresome pretty quick. It did die on me a couple of times after I was able to get a little speed going but then had to stop. It cranked right up, though.

There were a few Harleys with the American Legion group that I didn't envy at all with their heavy, air-cooled bikes.

Happy Fourth to all you U.S. members.

Aren't parades fun !... NOT

I ride my GV250 in the Memorial Day & Veterans Day parades in our town....  0.4 mile at 20 MPH.
At least they are so short, there is no time to get too hot.
We got the Memorial Day parade changed from 2:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
That was a lot better temperature.

have a safe and fun Independence Day.
