Cooling System Light Acting Up
« on: January 04, 2014, 11:21:47 PM »
I am getting a strong feeling of know not what I am doing.  :-[ It has been like 19 to 31 degrees here, so I aint rode my 2005 Super 9 LC this week at all. So today I go out turn the key and my engine cooling system light came on. Well it wont go out no matter what, unless I start my scoot. Then when I shut it off the light flashes very quickly again. Anybody got any thoughts? I am thinking it may be electrical but I aint sure.

It is not uncommon for the coolant light to come on when you turn the key if the scoot is real cold...

..I ride my S9 year round...see it every winter...

Thanks I tightened up some wires and thought that fixed it, but it may have just been the cold because its beginning to warm up here. I am kinda new so still learning what to worry bout.

..scoot sat outside while at work today..mid 30's, cold raining...

..when I keyed the switch, this is what happened...

..went away about 5 seconds or so after I fired her up!!
