OK just over 500 K on the Shinko tires SR006. So far love them. Any tires would be better than the stock 2007 ones. But even in a decent rain they stuck great. Time to start on the carb clean up to help the starting issue. Check the By Starter to.

OK new tires are in. Decided to take the rims off myself to save money. 2 Rachet straps from a chain on a metal I beam. Floor jack to help stabilize it. Glad I have air tools at work. Picking up wheels in a few hours.

OK mister caliper is much more capable now. The 2 pins didn't want to slide. Disassembled the caliper and the piston worked fine so just greased the sliders and all seems good. Took for ever top bleed to a nice stiff feel. Still waiting on tires.

Thanks. Looks good from far but loads of scratches up close. Not sure what cdi but no rev limit on it. No time to deal with the rear brake until next week. This is a pic of my other Super. I had decided to sell the red one as I had not used it for a year. I delivered the red one to the new owners requested shop and found this blue for sale a few blocks away.

OK tried bleeding the rear brake caliper but it didn't help with the sticky lever feel. Then I decided to remove the rear caliper and look for signs of rust on the piston. Didn't see any. Now the fun part. When I try to put the caliper back on it does not seem to line up correctly. With the 2 bolts snugged up tight the caliper is pinching the disk and the rear wheel is stuck tight. WTF this is pissing me off. I'm not sure what is wrong now. After trying many things including spacers to properly line up the caliper and not pinch but the lever goes to the bar with the extra space.

Now I wonder if the last owner tried to fix this and screwed it up.

OK just picked up another Super 9 LC. It has ben sitting 2 years but fired right up with a new battery and fresh gas. I'm looking to do a full tune-up on it. I'm interested in variator, weights, belt, splug and tires.

I have Shinko SR006 Radials on order. One thing I have noticed is the lack of a rev limiter. The scoot will race to 75 or 80 kph but redline is 70 kph. Down a big hill with out realizing I had the revs past 10,000 and the speedo well past 80. I do have 2 problems. Rear brake is hard On or Off no feathering but works and it is a little hard to start after sitting for a few days. Cranks for 10 secs to bild up.
