LIKE 200i / Slider gram weight preference

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to change the drive belt on my Like 200i and I'm going to install Dr. Pulley sliders to replace the stock rollers. I understand that the stock weights are 14gms. Should I go with the same weight with sliders or 1gm lighter: also if you went lighter on your installations did your top speed decrease? Thanks.

Hey guys I just saw this on the Kymco Facebook page from Columbia. It's called the UniK and is a 107cc engine bike with semi-auto gearbox along the lines of the Honda Cub. You can see a video of it on Kymco Facebook.

Finally a nice sunny day here in Oregon so I went to fill the tank with non- ethanol across the river from me . Just as I got up to speed on the state highway a pickup dropped an entire load of twigs and cuttings right in front of me! I guess my early days of woods riding kicked in and I managed to avoid the larger chunks and powered though. The scoot seems OK and the tires weren't cut so all's well, but my old ticker took a beating though. You've just got to be ready for ANYTHING.

Hello all. Now that I have installed my new Like 200i throttle body and all is good I have a question. When I received the new part there was a difference between it and the old part. The small nozzle at the air cleaner end of the intake was missing on the new factory replacement. This nozzle is to connect the air/fuel canister drain hose. On the newer version it is blocked off. Kymco's customer service guys said to simply route the drain hose to the ground. I'd like to know from Like owners here which version you have and where if any does your canister drain go? My Like is a 2012 200i lX. In the attached pic the older part is on the left.

Hey Stig and all it seems I've been attacked by the dreaded Like TPS injection bug. While riding yesterday the scoot started to buck at around 30-35 mph. Shortly after the CELP light came on. When I pulled over the idle was fine but when starting out again it came back. At home I checked for codes and sure enough I got a 4 flash TPS error light. I called our Portland dealer and he is contacting Kymco for me. Bike runs OK above and below these speeds. Sound familiar Stig?

Hello all, Just picked up on of these nifty valve adjustment tools on E-bay for $6.59. It has a 9mm hex socket with 3mm square socket inside. It allows you to unlock the valve lock nut and then adjust the gap and hold it while retightening.

I just added a little bling to my Like LX. I saw the 50th anniversary badge on the new Like special edition and had to have one! I called Kymco USA and they sent one to me for free.

LIKE 200i / Puig Windscreen

I thought it was about time to do a road report on the Puig windscreen which I installed on my Like 200i LX. I have had a chance to try it both in traffic and out on the secondary highways and I have to say that I am well pleased. I have actually gained a couple of mph at top end but that's not all. The scoot will hold 50-55 mph very easily and without apparent strain. The air flow now goes over my helmet rather that into my chest. This allows me to sit upright and not have to lean into the wind. It is much more pleasant to cruise at highway speed. As yet I don't know about the headlight glare issue that others have mentioned but I wouldn't be surprised if it does. If that is too annoying I'll have to figure something out because I'm not going back.
