Torque specs for valve adjustment.
« on: December 29, 2013, 06:47:04 PM »
Good morning.
Can anyone provide me with the torque specs for the valve cover and adjuster nuts on my Like 200?
Thank you!

I believe the valve cover bolts are 8.9 Nm. That's from memory

when working with the adjuster nuts and screws we are working with steel....so a gentle/firm but not crazy tightening should be fine.

SEE this last sentence above - this is a very good idea = it double checks the adjustment you just did. Rotate the engine and check again!
However the valve cover is softer alloy so - easy does it!

Hope this helps.www.cyclepedia.com carries the LIKE service manual (above pix from there)Stig
