First ride of year on my K-Pipe
« on: May 06, 2024, 11:30:17 PM »
been looking forward to riding, been in physical therapy for a couple months with the goal of throwing my leg over my motorcycles without a step up. Successful, the first 4-5 weeks didn't seem like I was really getting anywhere, last 2 sessions, throwing my leg over a huge beach ball atop a 5 gallon pail, was my workout

It worked, I easily get my leg over the K-Pipe's relatively high seat for the size bike it is, I think I can even mount my V-Strom now

the Zongshen 190cc fired right up as if it was already warmed up, and without any choke or throttle, I had forgotten how much quicker it is over the original Kymco 125cc. I rode around town (rural roads) and hour or so, till I was reminded that I want to change the saddle

I honestly thought I was due for a hip replacement or surgery to remove bone spurs. After my ride yesterday, I moved a small amount of firewood (15-20 cubic feet at most) and I'm in pain again, massage at PT this afternoon will help that

3 more weeks of PT and I graduate. throwing my leg over a beach ball sitting atop a 5 gallon bucket is a good exercise for regaining the ability to ride a bigger bike, higher seat height, get a bigger beach ball, if ya don't quite make it, no big deal, the ball and bucket go tumbling away, set em back up try again
