I put a City Grip on the back of my 500 last year, rode about 7K miles on it, & it really isn't showing any wear. The previous tire I got 10K miles and it was bald. Don't remember the brand on it.

Re: Xciting 500i Tire(d) ANLAS road tested

@Neil, here you go....
Did a short roundtrip of approximately 120 Km on this new ANLAS tire, another swingarm, rim and brake disc.
Axle bearing was shot, thats why.
Brake disc blue, thats why. Guy drove with handbrake engaged.
New rim because it was cheaper rim and disc together.

Conditions: dry tarmac, speed 50 to 150 kmh, airtemp 22°C.
-smooth running despite knobby profile
-no wiggling (balanced by weights to zero)
-no difference in handling right now, new,  to my former MICHELIN CG 2
-didn't do an emergency brake, but behaves well
-I do not have ABS so I don't challenge brake situations
-in bends and curves smooth side changing
-roundabouts are fun to exit with some tilt and speed
- all in all I feel safe on this tire
- we'll see how long it lasts
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

Thanks for that review @Ruffus, your impressions mirror my own.  Depending on wear rate, I reckon the Anlas is up there with the CG2's, so much so, I'm currently pricing up a front to go with the rear I bought
Regards & ride safe,
Neil
