New DT X360 Adventure Scooter
« on: March 03, 2022, 12:01:43 PM »
The Kymco DT X360 has been released in Australia. https://kymco.com.au/dt-x360/

It's based on the Downtown 350i TCS with different fairings and styling. Looks nice, but otherwise not much of an advantage for off-roading - needs all waterproof connections, body protectors, more ground clearance and some luggage racks.

So, the "adventure" part of this scooter is the "wider handlebars" for improved control when climbing over rocks?.....and "25MM higher" seating to improve your chances of spotting a mountain goat ahead!

An adventure scooter.

Cool.

but...but...you're on a scooter!
You've already kissed any cool image good-bye!

Except in one group......
Maybe I'm wrong....maybe, hope so - because - based on every photo I've ever seen of a group of American scooter riders.....85% of us are "not tall", "not skinny", "not young", "not hirsute".....thus they are riding a scooter.*

Stig

* and I think I might be hearing from the 15%'ers now....

Full transparency, I’m not in the 15%! As you’ve often said here Stig, scooters have never had the mass market appeal in N America (or arguably the UK) that they enjoy in  mainland Europe or Asia.  Most of us don’t worry too much about image being, ahem, past the first flush of youth; so as long as we can get hold of reliable scooters I guess we’re happy bunnies?  Cool looking scooters are a bonus!

Review of the DT X360, with some nice photos.

Ouch!  But nice to see it didn't colour his objective assessment of the scoot.

Would have appreciated some after-crash photos of that pretty not-really-an-off-road adventure scooter :)

Holding up photo of man lying in the ditch...."The prosecution rests, your Honor."

The Honda folks were knocking each other down getting in line to be the first with an adventure PCX....so, I bet this Kymco sells.

Once.

I wouldn't buy any vehicle featuring orange paintwork, but offer us something a bit less garish and I'd be tempted!
