TBum,
Mrs Stig put you up to this?...
I'll finish the leaves as soon as I'm done watching SuperBowl LI on the DVR..
My Patriots are in big trouble late in the 3rd quarter!!!
Stig
(my daughter says this will make an even two dozen times I've watched this replay. ..the leaves can wait - there could be a miracle happening here!)

So you finally gave up the Betamax. Spoiler, the Patriots did the impossible.

I wondered where you were. Good to see you back on the forum. Hopefully your new career will give you the work live balance you deserve.

Since you were last here regularly I have traded in my Kymco for a Harley, but still enjoy coming here when I can. Stig keeps the lawn mowed, the leaves racked and the welcome mat out. He even supplies the coffee and doughnuts.

Let's face it, the vast majority who buy such machines never take them on adventurers. Like people who buy SUVs. They are mostly for soccer moms and wannabe outdoorsmen who don't like getting their hands dirty let alone rough it. It's all about image, nothing more.

From another scooter forum I saw this and wanted to share. It's an adventure touring scooter.

I think this is a sensible tactic that will hopefully deter the number of crimes committed.

Waste of good cheese there, trout!
Stig

I find that after a single use the cheese doesn't hold it form. It maybe due to their age. I've had this pack a couple of years now.

Thinking about it, recycling would be a good use of resources. Stig, send me your snail mail address. I start sending you my once used ear plugs.  ;D

. Oh and an update on the association scooter saga.  They’ve approved of our solution to temporarily rent an unused corner of the garage to store a couple scooters in so at least the Gal can park her car back in the spot, as she doesn’t use her car that much.  Still pretty ridiculous, but since we are planning on moving shortly anyways, at least it’s something.

If you have to rent make sure they won't take issue with your stable of 2 wheels. That would be a double whammy. Good luck with the sale and eventual purchase of your new home. Do keep us posted.

Stig,

Deja vu. It swear I've read this someplace before.  ;)

One of the many drawbacks of owning a condo, the HOA not to mention the constant increasing of fees. I would not have mind the fee increase if I saw some improvements, but they just held onto the money while the complex deteriorated.

Every time I ride. I have a jumbo pack of 3M bullet style ear protections.  I grab a couple and place them in a zip lock bag to make sure I always have a set or two on hand. I toss after each use ride.

"Amal, he's got life insurance - lighten up!" "Besides, Brad Pit free these days"

"George, from the video it looked like you were fixated. Don't fixate or you are going to die and Brad will be your stand-in"

A little over six years ago I kept dropping hints on my wife that I like to get back onto two wheels. She wasn't buying it. One day while walking around one of the little shopping districts in our city we came upon a scooter. She said why don't you get one of those. At the time I wasn't thinking of a scooter as an option, but hey it's got two wheels and she approved of it. Next thing I know I am off to the local Vespa dealer. Then sticker shock! I just could not get myself to part with that much cash for a scooter. I went back and forth over the idea of buying a scooter or forgetting about two wheels altogether. After talking it over with the sales guy he suggested the Genuine Buddy 170i or the Like 200i. The Buddy I felt was a little small, but the Like fit me perfectly and it looked like a Vespa. The price cinched the deal for me at half the price of a Vespa. I picked it up the next day and quickly feel in love with riding a scooter. Reluctantly last summer I traded my Like for a motorcycle as I needed more power and since I am in my late 50s felt I may not have that much more time before I can no longer throw my leg over a bike to ride. I miss my scooter, but I know when the time comes and I can't swing a leg over a MC I'll be back on a scooter.

Stig may DIY his scooters, but when it comes to his car he gladly pays his service shop.
