22 mile rural ride: 0 cars, 8 deer

Sunrise rides are like that in my area of SW Ohio.
Stopped to watch the deer. They trotted alongside for a few hundred yards, then ducked into a forested opening only they could see😊
No chance for a photo.
Have been riding scooters on rural roads at sunrise since 2013 and have seen plenty of deer....but to date never had an issue with one.
I understand that one could step out in front of me at any time - so I ride accordingly when greenery is near the road.
Also, my speed is @25mph in those areas. Down from my 30-35mph cruising speeds.
I DO worry about that winter motorcycle commuter that whips by me at speed in the dark!
No idea what he's riding. It's big, quiet and has a great set of headlights.
Needed heated glove liners today...and my weirdly warm thermal shirt.
Mexican bean, at Dinos - served up by the lovely & smiling Holly. Good to see employees returning. (Dino was working 12 hr days, for weeks)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
