I bought this Kymco GT300i part by mistake - costs too much to return to the Netherlands but cheaper to send to the US (I'm in Canada) - its yours for the price of shipping. Part number is 64400 -LGE5-E00-N1R (black under cowl).  Still in original plastic wrap.

cheers,

Technical | How To / What is "Q" value?
« on: May 21, 2019, 06:45:40 PM »
I've asked this question in a model specific category (no response yet) but the answer may be helpful for a broader audience....

According to the service manual for the Yager:

Quote
Measure the resistance between each Yellow wire terminals.

    Standard: 0.4— 0.6 Q (20°C/68°F)

Check for continuity between each Yellow wire terminal of the alternator side connector and ground.

    There should be no continuity.

Can someone tell me if "Q" is equivalent to ohms?

Yager GT 200i / removing plastics from Yager
« on: April 29, 2019, 03:52:28 AM »
Actually it is a Kymco Frost - I'm trying to remove the plastic body from both sides and rear and am stuck. I both sides free but is there a secret screw under the brake lens or something?

Kymco News / Sad news about Kymco in Canada
« on: January 23, 2019, 05:41:26 PM »
As some my know, I've been an avid 'Mad Bastard' Scooter Rally participant for many years - this is a Kymco sponsored event in Ontario Canada (www.madbastardrally.com).  Until recently.  They have just announced that 2019 will be the last year for the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally because BECO Canada, the importer of Kymco products in Canada, will no longer be doing so and failing the sponsorship of Kymco, can no longer keep it going voluntarily.  This news is not yet posted on the Kymco.ca website but it does appear on the Mad Bastard site (https://www.madbastardrally.com/mbsr-latest-news/the-good-the-bad-the-ugly) and on Facebook.  I hope of course that someone else will become the importer into Canada of Kymco products and the same entity or another will pick up the sponsorship of the MBSR.    Here's hoping.

Kymco News / New Kymco Electric Superbike: SuperNEX
« on: November 07, 2018, 05:15:46 PM »
Just saw this and thought I'd share. http://canadamotoguide.com/2018/11/06/kymco-supernex-a-wild-electric-superbike-from-taiwan/

Now, what would be interesting is to put that same battery technology into a scooter.  Details, details.
